the only thing I don't know is why I all of a sudden have to wait 7 days until my MBP replacement ships :-( First they sent me a DOA MBP (which took 4 days to arrive) and now the replacement takes 7 days + 5 days shipping :-( I'm getting slightly pi**ed. I would have gladly waited for a new rev. but this just doesn't make any sense.

I'd guess it's true what I read earlier: The new MBPs need 10.5.2 to run - and as Apple still hasn't released that version, they can't release the MBPs either. At the same time, they've already decreased the production numbers for the previous models, meaning people who order now have to wait. crap.
 
Total dissapointment guys. Im starting to think this update will be strechted out till June once ready for monteniva.
 
What are they releasing next week? Probably everyone will wait a new MBP when the store is down, and then Apple releases something else. They have now updated Nanos, Touches and iPhones... what's next? Mac Mini perhaps?
 
$499 seems a bit of a rip off for the iPod Touch, even if it is 32GB SSD. I'll wait till the price goes down like in 2 months. Heh heh.

I like to imagine Steve-o in his big office with a bunch of cinema displays keeping track of the forum sites during a store close! Cackling.

32Gb touch is phenomenal really, but they do make us faithful jump through hoops while we wait impatiently for our new MBP!

We love it really.

He IS cackling at us. (That is a pretty funny image you described though).
 
You know what, guys? Either get a current MBP or wait til JUNE!!

I have a 8GB iPhone and won't go for the 16GB. I'll wait for the 3G version with second camera for video conference! Who knows? Keep wishing ppl :(
 
I'll wait for the 64GB iPod Touch when it's $400.
It might be best to wait till June for the MBP anyway, when they put in Montevina.
