Just check my shipping status, it now reads preparing for shipment. I only placed my order here in the UK this week so all signs are good. I was going to cancel my order and go to a store. Guess I will wait now!
After the debacle with iPod Touches shipping in the UK after all the pre orders i'd like to think Apple can restore some faith by getting it to homes by Friday like they did with 10.3 and I believe 10.4 as well on the day of release

Mine says the same - Its odd why it aint given a SHIP DATE.... I ordered a hard drive, and it told me at this stage what day it was coming.
Maybe they set it like this to stop UK folks Cancelling?

What are the chances of Apple shipping all of them to Apple distributors in the area... then shipping them out from there the day before or day of but NOT updating your shipping status as it's going to the Apple distributor? That means it's on its way but you don't know... and it should make it here in time. I have been stuck on Prepared for Shipment for almost a week. I have doubts they'll get it here in 2 days all the way from California? lol
I expect that's exactly what's happened: My copy is "prepared for shipment" which I assume means it's sitting at the distributor waiting. It'll have to go out today for me to get it tomorrow, and furthermore it'll have to be sent from somewhere in NZ otherwise it'll take too long.
Woo, my UK order placed this week now says shipped as of 1am! I'll keep a close eye on the tracking!

Macrumors (I think) said they were official legal copies and even had unboxing photos!
There's been a couple of claims that people have gotten Retail Leopard, but we haven't seen unboxing pix yet. still waiting on it.

Which would mean that I'd get it sometime during the day, BEFORE 6pm? So if you ordered early online (I ordered on day 1), then you'd actually have it before it was available to buy in the shops?

Heh, yeah probably. When did you order though? My tracking says delivery on the 26th.
