The Official Leopard Order Status Thread

UK Deliveries

I've just spoken to the UK Apple Store, although the call was obviously handled in the states judging by the accent.

My order for Leopard still says 'Shipping by 26th' and she wasn't able to give me any updates on that.

I've just tried ordering on Amazon.co.uk and it's saying shipping on the 25th, but more expensive as I can't make use of a discount.

Guess I'll leave both orders in place until Wednesday then make the decision which one to cancel.

Do wish Apple would make their minds up about what's happening with UK orders though.

Yeah I agree. I'm tempted to cancel my order with Apple and just buy it from the Apple store on Friday. At least that way I'm guaranteed to have it for the weekend.

Delivered to your door on 26th or despatched by 26th? Sort it out :apple:
 
I just cancelled my online pre-order. I want to have it on friday for sure, so that I can spend time over the weekend to install and test the system. I'll get a copy at Regents Street.
 
Hopefully they update my order today

Still Listed as Not Yet Shipped with Regular Shipping.
 
Mine shows Priority Overnight for delivery on the 26th. Anyone think we'll get it a day early? ;)

Only if Apple ships it a day early.

IF Apple were to ship it on Wed AND they really use Priority Overnight, not 2Day, then you would get it a day early. But if Apple sends them out on Thurs then obviously you won't get it same day.

well for the actual leopard...u have to order it by the 24th by midnight
and it would be shipped around or later 12:01am on the 25th..and then people would get it on the 26th

the only way you could get it on the 25th if you lived near where they are being sent out off
 
100 dollars off?

Also are any of you that are getting priority overnite and/or prepared for shipment messages part of the up to date program or just regular orders?

My college was not offering Leopard so in turn they gave me $100 Apple Credit to use.
 
Well, I've just had a chat online with someone on the Online Apple Store, UK.

They said: "It will ship on the 26th October, and it will take 3 business days to deliver"

Damn you Apple!
 
Well if the above is true, i'll be mega pissed of as Apple Tricked me into Pre Ordering it!!!

They cannot say things like this via a Newsletter if its not true as its tricking there customers - Bit like saying the new O.S has a cool feature, but when you buy it, its not there!!!

So cancel it and pick it up at a retail store somewhere. Life's too short to be pissed about something so trivial.
 
been prepared for shipment since saturday, hoping it will go out sometime today. Unlikely, but a guy can hope?

Umm.
The image says that delivery is free until the 26th. Doesn't say you'll receive it on the the 26th. Its very cleverly worded.
 
Ordered form UK Higher Education store and I get shipped by 26th and delivery estimate by 29th-30th. I think this is just a system thing that puts release date as shipping date. Hopefully it will be here by Saturday, because as it was mentioned few times here, I got e-mail from apple saying that if I preorder I get it my 26th.

Well, for the previous two releases my preorders did not arrive on the day of release in the UK, so I'm not expecting it to this time either.

Where are you located? I`m in Central London and usually don`t get any delays on shipments, however this is my first Mac OS preorder.

I don't think it is shipped from the UK so it doesn't matter that much where you are located. I'm near a major city with many delivery hubs of different firms nearby and delivery is normally quick (often next day on small items) once things are shipped. It's the shipping date which counts, and I am not getting my hopes up that it will be before the 26th. Tiger shipped for me the morning of the release day.
