I should certainly hope not!![]()
Given our ability to lose matches we should easily win, I think some teams come here expecting an easy three points. Not always the case, unless you're bottom of the league.
The thing is, we're spectacularly inconsistent. We can take on one of the top teams in the division one Saturday and completely maul them, then the following weekend we play one of the teams in the relegation spots and we get our asses whooped, as the Americans might say.
It all depends on which Hull City turn up on the day or – more to the point – which Hull City Mr Brown picks on the day.![]()
I we're jesting. I'll be rooting for a Hull win against Preston anyway.
Inconsistency has a lot of factors though, as well you know. I mean, Carlisle beat Leeds (Hurrah!) and then drew away to Luton (15th in the league, maybe, but still a relegated Championship side) and I thought that was a good result considering it's like 350 miles down there and there home record is won 6 drawn 1. A lot of Carlisle fans saying because we didn't win that we've lost our momentum. Hardly.
Anyway, we now have 2 cup fixtures (Today and Tuesday) against two League 2 teams (Grimsby and some other bag o' *****
Leeds are ***** now though. All our fault.
Also, in Premier League news... In form Rooney, with England games coming up, has hurt himself. Who'd have thunk it?
