I should certainly hope not! :p

Given our ability to lose matches we should easily win, I think some teams come here expecting an easy three points. Not always the case, unless you're bottom of the league.

The thing is, we're spectacularly inconsistent. We can take on one of the top teams in the division one Saturday and completely maul them, then the following weekend we play one of the teams in the relegation spots and we get our asses whooped, as the Americans might say. :p

It all depends on which Hull City turn up on the day or – more to the point – which Hull City Mr Brown picks on the day. ;)

I we're jesting. I'll be rooting for a Hull win against Preston anyway.

Inconsistency has a lot of factors though, as well you know. I mean, Carlisle beat Leeds (Hurrah!) and then drew away to Luton (15th in the league, maybe, but still a relegated Championship side) and I thought that was a good result considering it's like 350 miles down there and there home record is won 6 drawn 1. A lot of Carlisle fans saying because we didn't win that we've lost our momentum. Hardly.

Anyway, we now have 2 cup fixtures (Today and Tuesday) against two League 2 teams (Grimsby and some other bag o' ***** ;)) which really we should be looking to win. Win those, keep the consistency and jobs good for carrying on in the league. I'm just rabbiting on now though, I hate football fans, me included.

Leeds are ***** now though. All our fault.

Also, in Premier League news... In form Rooney, with England games coming up, has hurt himself. Who'd have thunk it?

Whats that I can hear? It sounds like a P45 being posted.

So it is... Whos this on the front? Oh, Mr. P. Simpson.

Bloody fantastic!

And Carlisle where bloody lucky, how embarrassing was that, almost lost to Grimsby...

Does that mean that Grimsby are better than Leeds?

Fulham played well and didn't deserve a loss...They say Bocanegra was harshly penalized, with Crouchy just outside the box when he went down. I was hoping Dempsey would score.

Liverpool should be putting teams like Fulham to the sword if they think they are going to win the title, rather than squeezing out fortunate results like this. It looked to be a draw for 80 minutes...

It we're a bit close. Disappointingly ***** performance.

Looks like we could soon have ourselves a hat-trick of managerial scalps then...

*Crosses fingers* We're getting there. Out! Out! Out!

Anyway, in staggering news this morning, the website MyFootballClub have bough Ebbsfleet United. I'll be watching this closely as I think it could either be fantastic, or a total and utter disaster.

IMO, it'll be the former. I hope it is anyway. Kind of wish I'd put my £35 in now. Damn.

Also, today is the day folks. Carlisle... Or Stockport?

And in todays most exciting news, Hull City AFC have claimed another manager, with struggling Preston North End sacking Paul 'The Judas Bastard' Simpson. Full Story of sheer joy.

That's the hat trick then – I'm here to claim my match ball.

However, not one to rest on my laurels... the Cardiff City board have today given manager Dave Jones the dreaded vote of confidence. We play them on 1st December at the KC (aka 'the manager's graveyard'), so expect the Bluebirds to be seeking a new gaffer on the 2nd. :D

Lol @ 'The managers graveyard' I wonder if any of the pundits will start picking up on this play Hull -> Get sacked pattern.

I was listening to it on BBC Radio Cumbria, then all of a sudden they've changed game to Barrow against Workington!!!! Bloody Barrow against Workington???!?:mad:

Yeah, they have a nasty habit of that. I've stopped listening to them, coz its *****. Should be down there really, but I was late home from work, so would have missed kick off. Not happy.

Ooo... who's winning?

Nobody cares... ;)

Anyway, half time and it's 0-0. Looks like both sides have wasted a few chances.

At the moment, all the pundits seem to say about us is "Ooo, look at how old Dean Windass is!" – they even had a special feature on Sky's Football League review the other night about how he was much older than his current strike partner. :p

Anyway, to track back a bit... I really don't know what to think about the whole Ebbsfleet situation. For one thing, if results go badly how can they justify sacking the manager when he has no say in who plays, or to what system? And I think they'll be in a real disadvantage when it comes to transfers – when it comes to the transfer window so many of these deals are last-minute opportunities, I don't see how a club where these decisions have to go to a mass vote can compete effectively in such a situation.

I'll be watching this with great interest...

Fixed that for you. Gutted about missing the commentary on this one. Apparently this is the best we've played for weeks.

and likewise our second worst in weeks... Oh well, I'm off in the shower.

Oh, make that 3... And we're out of the JPT.

Congratulations to Stockport County. For the second year running, Carlisle United fall at the first hurdle to a League 2 team in the JPT. Nevermind, we've always got that FA cup replay at Grimsby to look forward to...

A great night for League Two clubs overall (highlighted)

Bournemouth 0-2 Milton Keynes Dons
Carlisle 0-3 Stockport
Gillingham 4-0 Dag & Red
Grimsby 2-2 Doncaster (Grimsby win 5-4 on penalties)
Hartlepool 1-1 Morecambe (Morecambe win 4-2 on penalties)
Leeds 1-2 Bury
Swansea 1-0 Yeovil

So only D&R stopped the clean sweep. Shame!!

And Ta Mark :)
