It looks like after all it could be McLeish. I must admit I'm surprised. Of course the 2 (Club and International) are totally different types of management, and maybe he didn't enjoy not running it day-to-day. However, IMHO and simply in terms of job stature, Scotland > Birmingham. Sorry Scott.

Hmmmm.

I totally agree, managing your country has to be the ultimate job, and we are not what you could class as a big team, but at 10:30 tomorrow when the board announce him as our new manager I'll be pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. At this moment in time I'm well chuffed, and a little stunned :D

I also think he will find success with Birmingham more difficult to attain... there's a distinct possibility he may have hitched a ride to the Championship.

Don't say that :( still at least he's got 24 games to work some magic. I think we'll finish around 14-15th this season and I'll be pretty pleased with that.

Still bring on the next villa match, McLeish and O'Neill at it again. it will be like a mini old firm derby :D

I've been getting into podcasts more and more so I was wondering if there are any good podcasts that people are subscribing to. Currently I am subscribed to the 606 - Phone In podcast in case I miss any.

And it's all gone quiet over there.

No one commenting on tonights matches.

Ronaldo's goal was pretty special, Arsenal were out played. Hoyte was a tad naughty. Bendtner looks better every time I see him. Eboue is a precious ****.

Another loss for Watford.

Another charge of failing to control their players for Chelsea and guess who apparently led the confrontation, no prizes for guessing correctly.

I listen to World Soccer Daily, hosted by several UK expats and broadcast from California. They generally focus on the Premier league, but talk about everything else as well. Good show.

It's a call-in show that is streamed over the 'net and also broadcast on Sirius, though I download it from iTunes usually.

and there you have it... Our new manager. Interesting to hear what David Gold had to say about the buy-out. I believe that, if the buy out does not go ahead David and Ralf Gold will buy out David Sullivan. And that I feel would be a good thing. Sullivan was the saviour of the Blues in 1993 but feel he's losing the passion over the last few years, but will be remembered as the man who saved the Blues and brought Karen Brady to the club, and she is an amazing MD.

All change this morning, Jewell to Derby, McLeish to Brimingham, Jose wants to goto England and Davis might go to Scotland.

In other news, Ronaldo is a legend and Bristol City might keep their manager. Shame.

Absolutely gutted that the lure of Birmingham was enough for McLeish to go.
Still it renews the old local derby rivalry with Martin O'Neil.

I have no idea who will be Scotland manager now, they aren't exactly queing up (unlike the England job.)

Redknapp was having a great season at Pompey...this could be quite a turn of events.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems a bad season to manage in the Premier League - managers Are dropping like flies.

BTW, I'm not happy with Benitez, and I think the protests planned in support of him are a stupid idea.

Think Raffa the gaffa could be next on the old chopping block. If the lose tonight you could put the mortgage on it.
