I can understand why. Who do you support Brianstorm91?

I'm a Chelsea fan personally, but I'm always happy to get behind Aston Villa or Bolton, because I like Aston Villa's ethos, and I enjoy watching other teams being beaten up by Bolton, I get tired of constant diving (even at the Bridge).

Edit: Still, when Sepp Blatter finally steps down is ousted because he's useless, I'm backing swiftaw for FIFA President.

As I bemoaned our glove-clad forward line on Boxing Day, the irony of my doing so while wearing a pair myself along with a thick coat, scarf and woolly hat wasn't lost on me. I'm a hypocrite, but I don't care. :p

Nah, I must admit working outside all day it's my fingers that feel the cold first.

Two points in rebuttal:

1) These players make way too much money to complain they are cold.
2) If they're cold, they could try running around more (chasing long balls, tracking back, etc), that'll warm them up

Yeah, but the difference is, you're just stood there. They're (supposedly) running around.

Thanks for the nomination, now, what other changes should I make once I'm head of FIFA....

Fair points well made, I'm now with Jaffa Cake and will be backing your FIFA President bid.

Ohhh, if your inviting changes, number 1 on the list is the offside rule, of course. Also, keepers should once again be allowed to be bundled into the back of the net along with the ball in search of a goal.

Oh, and drop balls have to be contested for, none of this kicking it back to the keeper crap.

OFFSIDE RULES
Lennon's eyebrow and yes to the new training facilities for England.
Yellow cards for dives, move the ACoN to the summer, and second only to my first point, get Avram Grant out please.

Actually, I do have an opinion of the dives issue. This one may be controversial:
All matches are reviewed after-the-fact but an expert panel, if they see any evidence of diving then the divers can be awarded a yellow card after the game has ended.

Why? He's doing OK, all things considering. The injury list is more worrying.

He does look like Toad of Toad Hall though, and is generally the class A most boring person in the world.

Controversial it certainly is, and I can't agree with you there mate. For serious and dangerous play and things like off the ball punches, etc, then maybe I could agree but diving? Doesn't warrant it I don't think.

Here's another one:

I'm sick of these players who feel the need to surround the ref and argue every time a decision goes against their team, even when it didn't actually involve that player.

So, I propose that only captains may approach the ref (similar to rugby). Anyone else, yellow card.

He has to go to manager school every week, he has no tactical knowledge (exposed well by AV recently), his English is about as good as the Scots', and he seems like the sort to sit in Kenyon's pocket (how I loathe that man).

Edit: So, I propose that only captains may approach the ref (similar to rugby). Anyone else, yellow card.
I thought this was already the case, just nobody abides by it?

Agreed. Can we not just have Sepp Blatter 'taken out' and install you like, tonight? Can have all these changes fired through in time for the kick offs on Saturday.

Shame John Terry is Chelsea captain, but I suppose every silver lining has a cloud.

I'm looking forward to this weekend's action.

Saturday
I'm a bit afraid Toon will still find a way to lose to Chelski.
It pains me to say it, but I'd love to see the Toffees pull one out.
I can only pray that West Ham somehow salvage a draw.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
My men in Red head to the Eastlands and El Nino goes in search of more goals. YNWA

These games at least ought to be entertaining. I almost died watching the Derby game on Boxing Day
