Looking like another big loss for Newcastle. Wonder if the bookies are taking bet on when Keegan will walk.

Not so happy about Man City, if it stays at 1-0 will mean Reading jump over Birmingham.

Man City have really slumped lately, especially in light of their bright start to the season. Maybe everyone has adjusted to Sven's tactics?

Newcastle appear to be in freefall at the moment - every spot from 12th down seems part of the relegation battle.

What a day - this season's theme is giant-killing when it comes to cup competition!

I am enjoying Ferguson's bile over the penalty decision. Both penalty decisions were arguable, but United hardly deserved to win that game given the number of chances they missed, though I didn't expect Pompey to win it.

I also think that, while Wenger and Ferguson have a point about reckless tackles, they never mention the fact that their own teams have been guilty of them just like everyone else...and as long as Ronaldo gives people reason to think he's a diver, refs won't be as interested every time he falls theatrically.

Truly amazing stuff.

No matter who you support, you cannot deny the magic of this year's FA Cup.

way to go pompy!
way to go barnsley!

4 points for wednesday this week ;)

I have to say that I'm pulling for Barnsley to win the FA cup - they've beaten Liverpool AND Chelsea to get to the semis, and it will be heartbreak if they get knocked out now.

OK, what's going on here...?

Pompey and Barnsley yesterday, and now Cardiff are up 2-0 at Middlesborough...

Has a TV company, booking agency or whatever bought this year's FA cup completely...?

The results yesterday were a shock (and briliant :D) but I have always expected Cardiff to beat Middlesborough due to the simple fact that they are rubbish and will never do anything good under Southgate.

So stupidly predictable that this is what would happen in the Wigan Arsenal game. Atrocious pitch - but we knew that before the game :( Doesn't sound like we're going to score here. **** it.

I don't really see the reason to get ambivalent about that... :p

A good football-weekend, all around... :)

I'm a fan of the US National Team, so Howard doing well is good for me. But, I'm a Liverpool fan, so Everton doing well is painful. ... ... :Head Explodes:

A GREAT weekend of footy.

I really don't know who to cheer on in the semis...I've had a soft spot for Pompey but Barnsely surely deserve silverware for their incredibly odds-beating run?

Town population: 2700
Forced to play 'home' games 80 miles away in Motherwell
Generous benifactor ill in hospital
501 fans turned up for the game last Tuesday
It was only going to go one way...

Gretna to go into administation today

10 points docked, pretty much guaranteed relegation. If they don't make it to the end of the season then none of the others teams results will stand so it has a big effect on the league title.
