Wenger backed West Ham to put on a "professional" display against Tottenham the week before their FA Cup final against Liverpool.
"If you have a cup final it is better to play well in the game before, because you never recover completely after losing the game before," he said.
"If they go into the FA Cup final having lost against Tottenham they will not win the cup final, I tell you

The extra bit of good news from this result is of course that Orient pushed Grimsby out of the automatic promotion places...![]()
Jaffa Cake said:My question to you, XIII, is... did you get a red shirt or a white one?![]()
Jaffa Cake said:We watched the game and the post match celebrations on Sky. The highlight for us came during the lap of honour when Ashley Cole gave his boots to a young fan – his eyes bulged, he started hyperventilating, and began repeatedly kissing the boots (the fan that is, not Cole). It was hilariously funny and touchingly sweet at the same time.
And fair dues to the Wigan fans who stayed behind with you to see the post-match celebrations and help give Highbury a good send-off.
XIII said:Yeah, Wigan fans were good. Cheered for Seamen and the other legends. I'll upload some photos/short videos I took maybe.
EDIT: Are you watching Tottenham?
Speaking as someone whose team moved to a shiny new stadium a few years back... it's strange at first, but you get used to your new home a lot quicker than you'd think. Yes, Highbury has a lot of great memories but you can look forward to seeing Arsenal making new history at Ashburton Grove.MacsRgr8 said:So so sad to have seen the last of Highbury... after today's events.... < snif >
Well, the 'I was there' shirts have already started to appear on eBay including one signed by Ian Wright himself!MacsRgr8 said:Maybe they can print some:

But still, it is a new stadium without any memories...
Went to Highbury for the first time in the seventies, and thirty years later I still went there loving every second of it.
I won't be buying that shirt off ebay. Implying I was there, when I wasn't...![]()
But I will buy that "wish I were there" shirt!
You lucky man!

You're certainly winning in the 'MacRumors most impressive Highbury memento' stakes, at least until the bulging eye kid with Ashley Cole's boots registers as a member...XIII said:I had my programme signed by Steve Bould.
