As you say though, if he's a dud we can soon offload him to Grimsby (or, if he's really bad, Sc*nthorpe). All the players we send sarf of the river are rubbish, with the exception of the Shearer-baiting Justin Whittle who's up there with Cruyff and Beckenbauer IMHO.

um Didi Hamann spent 24 hours at Bolton before going to Man City. i think it was 24 hours anyway. that earned Bolton about the same me thinks, or was it 40k?
According to Didi's Wikipedia page he signed for them in June but signed for City on July 12. Bolton got £400,000 compensation apparently, so that seems a tidy bit of business!evoluzione said:

I saw the injury, and while it didn't look really jolting, it definately was one of those collisions that is really awkward and because of that awkwardness, can be more serious than it would first meet the eye.

One more day to go till the kickoff of Premiership 06/07! I'm looking forward to my first year of watching Arsenal from this side of the Atlantic, with games on at a proper time in the evening after work.

I didn't see it. All I heard about were some pretty appalling time wasting tactics from Sheffield United.
