Damn usual crap happens when you get a new stadium....

Still almost 10 mins to go.... COME ON!!!!

Don't want to give Chelski and Man Ure a "perfect start" (shut up Tottenham fans)

Yeah.... I was following it via the BBC's website... and that is NOT the quickest way to follow the Premiership...

Fair doos. :p

Meh.. pretty annoyed. I'm up there this wednesday for the CL second leg.

Nope. As of posting, Auntie still thinks we've got 10 mins to score an equaliser. Which, according to a variety of Royals and Boro supporters, we actually did. Except for the ref. Who didn't. MotD for me then...not a great start.

Good for you!

I wonder what the stadium will like be when a real match is on.
I only know it from Dennis' testimonial, and it's not the same athosphere as good ol' North Bank at Highbury...

Here's to hoping for a better European start than domestic start at the Emirates! Oh, well... a draw is enough, though.

Good day!

Johnson scores in his debut, and we win 2-1. A bit stupid to let Watford get back in the game with a late goal, but all in all a perfect start to the new season.

And we're 2 point up on Liverpool... :D

Even better, you're three points up on Spurs :)

That means Bolton won... :( But still.. Spuds losing is GOOD. Looks like I'll be watching MOTD after all... :)

But completely unrealistic.
Just a bit over a year since we did just that, even if it was completely unrealistic then, too... :)

Now, even if it might not happen again this year, every week ahead in the table is just nice... ;)

As The Premier League Thread's Championship representitive, might I be the first to say congratulations to our current champions Reading on recording a victory in their first ever top flight game? (Sorry MOFS :D)

Anyway, Arsenal are on Match of the Day at the moment and the new stadium is looking rather nice, I must admit.

Thoughts having seen the games I want to on MOTD:

The penalty was a penalty for Liverpool.

How lucky can Everton get? Clear penalty against them not given, and a penalty given for handball when it clearly hit the bloke in the head! Hah! He was saying "It hit my head! It hit my head!" and looking utterly bewildered.. hahah.

On Arsenal: When the hell will they cover up those concrete bits in the inside of the stadium, just put some ads over them or something.. they don't look that good. Other than that, the stadium looks very good, and I'll enjoy going up again midweek. Adebayor didn't seem too bad today.. he didn't do too much wrong in the highlights shown, but commentary at the time suggested he missed a lot which weren't shown on the highlights. Now, all the clips of Robin van Persie that were on there showed him looking very calm, very composed, and playing well. I especially liked his neat pass through for Eboue (which was followed by Eboue hitting the bar). Why, oh why, will Arsene not playing RvP upfront with TH14.. give them a few games to mold and they would be ****ing awesome. Theo looks very sharp, and I'm pleased for his role in our goal.. looks like a damn fine prospect.

Thanks for listening. :)

Well, even David Moyes agrees on that... :)

I haven't seen that situation yet, but after seeing the Liverpool penalty from the best possible TV angles in the after game I still think it's highly questionable... and if that is a penalty, there's going to be a lot of penalties this year...

We have won the biggest prize in club football and the biggest cup in england since then... we also finnest with 82 points last season and yet again improved out squad on that....

Everton are mid table for me this year. I look forward to the derby ;)

No worries Jaffa Cake  If we lose every game to the promoted sides and beat all the Champion's League sides then I'll be happy. Well, not ecstatic, but I'd rather us beat Chelsea and Man Utd every time.:D

Oh yeah...

2 - 1!

Some breaking news they've just mentioned on Sky... apparently the new Sunderland manager is none other than Roy Keane.

Oh my.

All, beware..

2-1, yes, hahaha.. very good. :D Two seasons running Boro have beaten Chelsea.. :D

CL draw was today, and low and behold.. Chelsea have got Barca again. Nice.

I see that Randy Lerner (owner of my hometown Cleveland Browns NFL team) has acquired a majority stake in Aston Villa... But what an unfortunate name he has, the locals will surely laugh.

Hopefully his millions will make more of a difference there than they did with the Browns.
