The cold hard fact is that they conceded six goals because Arsenal Reserves are much better than Liverpool Reserves. :D

4 goals scored by a £20m player on loan from Real madrid (although, the player I was most impressed with was alliadiere (sp?) he constantly troubled the back 5 mixture of rejects, old gits and kids). Doesn't really matter though, looking past a couple of games Liverpool are above them in the league this season and were 15 points above them last season. Not to mention champions of europe and fa cup winners in the last two seasons.

Not going to lose sleep over a reserve game and an FA Cup game that was much closer than the score line suggests.

Lose sleep over this then. Barça are playing them in the Champions League soon. Eto'o starts training again this week and Messi should be back soon.

Let's talk about something really serious. Rumors are coming out the Jose Mourinho is going to quit Chelsea in May.

The fact that I have no central defense right now, can't buy a player in the transfer market, have mounting injuries to my back line, and we are drawing every game is not leaving me much room for me to take in a Mourinho rumor.

Can one thing go right for us right now, at least we play Wigan tomorrow. We have the possibility of a win there.

Just proves Mr Mourinho is a crap manager. He will be fired before he quits. I gaurantee it.

John Terry is also out for a bit longer now as he may need another operation. Haha.

Disclaimer: I'm not laughing at JTs injury I wish him well. Its Chelsea I cant stand and its all because of Mourinho. I liked them when Ranieri was there.

We? I?

How often do you make it down to Stamford Bridge? bet you go way back with Chelsea.

;)

I'll let Barca worry about Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko and the scissor kick maestro himself.

Scissor kick maestro? You mean Ronaldinho :D

Gerrard worries me obviously. Thats guy is amazing. But you are forgetting Barça will most likely be fielding Xavi, Deco, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, hopefully Messi or Guily all at the same time. Guddy or Saviola will most likely be on the bench.

Did I forget to mention Puyol and Marquez in defence? Thuram on the bench.

:D But lets not get into a 'list all the players' war. :p

Yeah, Cos I'll lose :)

Should be a wild atmosphere at both. I will of course be going to both.

It's Messi and Eto' that I worry about most. Even though they are not big names, I think Crouch and Bellamy can offer something away from home that Barca don't come up against too often.

Yeh thats true about Crouch and Bellamy. However Marquez is excellent in the air and Crouch is just tall (hes not good at heading) and Puyol is capable of winding up Bellamy as he won't give him an inch. Bellamy will do the rest by lashing out or something stupid. Hes not used to BIG games.

Once Ive got myself sorted financially I will be going to see games mroe often. Ive only seen Barça play friendlies here in England :( But I recently became a club member and so get 40% of tickets etc now so a quick hop on easyjet for £25 at the weekend will be quite fun. I spend more than that on a night out.

Also my Spanish coming along nicely, although still very basic. Once thats cracked I will be learning Catalan. :)

Steven Gerr...? Is he that bloke that was over shadowed by Song Billong the other night?

Anyway, Boobs, you have to goto the Nou Camp. I've been a couple of times and it can not be beaten. Saying that, last time I was there they won 6-1 and Patric Kluivert got a Hat-Trick, so it was always going to be a good day.

Nice in theory, but Bellamy has been very well behaved with no trouble at this club, blackburn or celtic. He isn't going to get annoyed by Puyol (who isn't half as good as people make out) and crouch is capable of pulling Barca back line apart.

We still haven't talked about Kuyt yet :)

Remind me, how are Man Utd doing in the Carling cup? It's one thing losing to Arsenal, and it's another losing to southend.

Not as well as last year. Anyway... See you in the F... Oh, wait...

I'll bet you Bellamy will get frustrated and lash out at some point. Thats not to say Puyol is doing anything dirty its just Bellamy's character and how Puyol is in your face at every opportunity.

Yes I am biased but Puyol is just as good as John Terry and in a very similar mold. I.e. he is willing to die to stop that ball going in his own net. He will be EVERYWHERE on that pitch. Thats all I will say as not to go on and on. But I urge you to keep an eye on him during the match and you will see what I mean. If any thoing he doesnt get enough recognition.

Kuyt? Hes ok. Not great. Owen / Fowler they were great.

I have to disagree. As I said before, he hasn't done that at any of his last three clubs.

I watch pretty much every match Barca play, they are my second team (and have been for best part of 2 decades). I don't think Terry is as good as many make either. We have Carra, you have Puyol. Fair enough.

In a positional sense, Puyol is a nightmare.

Our top striker, you should watch him more. Man of the match nearly every time he plays in my opinion.

I know this is the Premiership thread and not the Championship thread but you can stuff the Premiership!

The Hull City Vs QPR game today was fan-bloody tastic. 2-1 to Hull, overcomming a pathetic and disgraceful QPR side who time wasted and cheated for 90 minutes. They deserved what the got.

Also what a terrible ref! I know it isnt an easy game but some are just awful.

Anylife, life is good. I don't care about getting into the Premiership, that was so entertaining I would be more than happy to stay in the Championship!

Now, that's not fair – QPR didn't timewaste for the whole match. They started taking their throw ins and goal kicks a lot quicker when we took the lead! :D

Yes, it was a fantastic afternoon – not a pretty game of football by any means, but more enthralling than anything I've seen from the Premiership in a long time. As a supporter you went through a whole range of emotions this afternoon – anticipation, excitement, frustration, anger, despair, hope, and finally total jubilation after Saint Stuart got us the three points. Even sweeter given the fact that the win puts us level with QPR and moves us four points clear of the relegation places.

I'm still buzzing. :D

No sign of the mysterious little man then? ;)

For my part, I'm concerned at all the stories being spun out from Stamford Bridge. Mourinho will be gone by the summer, I'm sure of it, and the board seem to be acting somewhat bizarrely... not good. I'd hate it if they became another Hearts. ;)

Also, in reference to an earlier post, just in case anyone doubts my allegiance, I'm one of the few who happens to live near their club and have done so for many years. ;)

Today reminded me how great football can be.

As for Chelsea. If everything goes tits up I have very little sympathy. They have wanted too much and they just expect success. I hope Mourihno does go and they really struggle. I would fell very sorry for the TRUE fans but it has been bad for football and I hope that their potential failure is a lesson to everyone else. Football is a game for FANS not people with big pockets. Success should be earned, not taken out of greed!
