I had a Maroo case on my iPad 2. I'm almost positive this case will fit the new iPad (they seem to think so also, but won't confirm until its released).

http://www.maroo.com/

They have a 50% off sale for today only, definitely worth checking out.
I highly reccommend them, excellent customer service and quick shipping.

Ok here's the plan:

1. ordering the sena tan case for boardroom work - very classy - only concern is they already shipped so they are hip-shooting the fit as they don't have an ipad3 now...we'll see
2. Ordering the Targus slim for business travel - love the stylus holder - looks nice and strong to be pulling in and out of bag - on pre-order
3.use my poly cover and upcoming ZUM for around house, personal time...
4. icarbon back for ipad itself - to insure it's perfect for selling for ipad4....no screen film...never scratched yet

I've tried several cases and none hold a candle to the Oberon Design iPad case. Extremely beautiful, well made, and secure.

Does the magnetic closure work well on them for the ipad 2 /work like a smart cover (and hopefully if it does, it will on the new ipad) and does the knob get in the way or make it hard to hold?

I just ordered a Moko case from them as well. for $22.50, it's worth a shot!

I just ordered the Moko as well. Seems solid fo $22, slightly more bulky than I would like, but looks like it will be out quality of similar priced cases. The design ones are pretty ugly, but the plain leather looks good.

How is it?

I had one on my iPad 1 and really fancy one for my 3.

My first one so can't really compare, passes the smell test.

Feels good and sturdy, I haven't fully opened it yet so not sure if the screen protector can be removed and if i can use other screen protectors in case this one gets scratched badly or something. I'm confident my iPad will be very secure and safe in it's edge to edge, button, screen protection and comes with a nice stand too that i'll probably only use as a stand and not as part of the protective system unless i'm travelling and want to put it in a bag/case etc..

it's not at all pretty and soft like a lot of other cases i was looking at, but i wanted full protection, silicone shocks, and screen protection. it's going to a home with a 7 year old and 9 month old so if i could buy a brick wall for it with a nice window, i'd be holding that now :)

Did you order it from them or Amazon?

straight from Otterbox, they are in CO and so am I. There was a code I got via google that took almost $10 off so that helped with the shipping.

Thanks for posting the Maroo discount code nd3eb. I ordered the Moko for $22.50 to tide me over now while I wait for more cases to come out.

The Targus slim looks nice, but how does it stay closed? I had a Chinao Vaja clone for my iPad 2. Looked nice, but I had to use a hair band to keep it shut or it would turn on and off in my bag.

I also ordered a Maroo Moko while waiting for a snap-in case to use with my Smart Cover. I looked at Incipio's offerings, but the enormous tab and branding in the front and back of the Lexington really turned me off. Almost ordered the Smart Feather, but don't like how it leaves the bottom of the iPad exposed. Will be looking forward to user reviews, though.

I hate these kind of cases personally. You might as well put it in a suitcase. It just ruins the slick look of the ipad. There are better ways to cover the front and back without looking like a briefcase.

The thing I don't like about my current case (Targus Versavu) is that when I need to hold it in one hand while scrolling around with the other, I have my hand through the strap in the back, and it's pretty unstable that way. I'm also not thrilled with the angle it gets when I do have it sitting on a desk.

I'd just like it to be more secure...if some other snap-in cases aren't so wobbly/floppy like the Versavu, ok, but I haven't seen that from many of them yet.

I am looking at this one for my new iPad 3!

I have been looking for a nice portfolio style cover my iPad.....

I like that look, just...what do you do with the snap? Can it tuck in somewhere out of the way?

Cancelled my Incipio Lexington order. Talked to their support today and they are HOPING to SHIP on the 16th. That's just not going to do it. The $10 snap on back covers are starting to pop up on eBay now, so I'm going to use one of those in conjunction with my old Smart Cover. Will basically be the same setup I had for my 2.

Adonit and zagg

I ordered the zagg folio, but I've read that it is not too great. Has anyone had it? I saw the adonit writer 2 plus (adonit.net) for the iPad two. I really like it better than the zagg, but i don't know if it will fit the my new iPad.

An advice?

I'm still using the first gen iPad with the original Apple case and I'm looking for a comparable case for the new iPad. I think I'll give this a try as soon as it's available. http://www.booqbags.com/laptop-backpacks-laptop-bags/new-folio-for-iPad

I've been using a booq taipan shadow bag for a while now and I have zero issues quality wise. I just don't know what to do with the new iPad in the meantime since it'll be available April 20th and none of my iPad cases will fit. And I don't plan on "going naked" for over a month.

I have a sleeve and a Black leather Smart Cover for my iPad at the moment.

I have been trying to find a back case or at least a skin but there is NOTHING available really in the UK. It is proving difficult.

Keep checking with solutions inc, they got the smart feather on the way in a few different colours. Though not sure if they will have for Friday.

Y'all ready for this?

You all can keep your hardshell cases and your sleeves and your rubber skins and whatever else you try to protect your iPad with because I'll be rocking one of these babies:

http://www.iballz.info/iballz.php

Definitely check out the demonstration video. ;)

Ok, so I think I would want to feel what holding that thing is like first before buying it, but I have often held that what iPad cases need more of is a little corner protection.

Anyway, in all seriousness, I believe a good rubber skin like the webKase from Scosche is the best option going for the iPad:

http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/2358

I put forth the following reasons for a rubber skin's superiority over leather folios, hard shell, or any other kind of case/cover:

1. They are usually thin and lightweight (what's the point of adding bulk to a thin device?)
2. They are easier to grip (making drops less likely)
3. They make it possible to lean the iPad against something and be used without falling down (grip)

I also like when they leave a lot of room around the orientation lock switch, volume buttons, etc. because it's such a pain in the butt to effectively utilize those things when they are covered up.

Thoughts (and recommendations for any other good rubber skins)?

I ordered this one myself. But if it turns out that the elastic straps stretch enough that the edges of the iPad can get scuffed easily when transporting in a bag or something, it's being returned.

that scosche case is exactly what im looking for! I wanted to maintain the use of the smart cover while still having back protection!

Im not so sure about the web version but I gotta do more research. Where can you buy those cases? only from their website?
