You all can keep your hardshell cases and your sleeves and your rubber skins and whatever else you try to protect your iPad with because I'll be rocking one of these babies:

Ok, so I think I would want to feel what holding that thing is like first before buying it, but I have often held that what iPad cases need more of is a little corner protection.
Anyway, in all seriousness, I believe a good rubber skin like the webKase from Scosche is the best option going for the iPad:

I put forth the following reasons for a rubber skin's superiority over leather folios, hard shell, or any other kind of case/cover:
1. They are usually thin and lightweight (what's the point of adding bulk to a thin device?)
2. They are easier to grip (making drops less likely)
3. They make it possible to lean the iPad against something and be used without falling down (grip)
I also like when they leave a lot of room around the orientation lock switch, volume buttons, etc. because it's such a pain in the butt to effectively utilize those things when they are covered up.
Thoughts (and recommendations for any other good rubber skins)?
