Nobody but me seems to be getting the ZooGue case. It's like the best kept secret, worth a look if your in the market at least.

Just bought it myself, was delivered via UPS this afternoon. Only problem is i still have 36ish hours till I have the iPad to put in it.

I've ordered a bamboo case for my 3rd gen iPad from Grove. www.grovemade.com

I have the previous model for my iPad 2 and have always loved the look of it. Get lots of compliments. The attached leather is nice - much higher quality then the official Apple cover. Negatives is that the case can crack very easily - I had to replace it once (they will generally ship new one for half price). It definitely wont survive a drop and mine cracked just under the weight of being in a bag with a macbook pro in the next compartment.

I ldo ike the idea of supporting a small company that is making these by hand and using exceptional craftsmanship.

They have redesigned the new case - the leather or new wool cover is sewed on (versus detachable like the Apple cover) and doesn't trifold. There is no typing position but they claim much better stability in the landscape view. There have been a number of people concerned that they redesigned and will be interesting to hear what the concensus is once these start shipping. Very long production time - I bet its at about 8-10 weeks now.

Hope you like yours.

Does the iPad 2 Zoogue case fit the new iPad? It seems like it will. I had listed mine for sale in the Marketplace on this site, but maybe if it fits the new iPad I should just keep it.

Thank you so much for posting about the ZooGue case. Although I originally intended to purchase the Targus Versavu case for the ability to stand the Ipad in portrait mode, I like the extended functionality of this case and can see the potential of it being able to be placed in portrait mode as well although it's not advertised. It's cheaper than the other case, it has great reviews, I was able to get a free stylus with the code "FreeZooGueAccessory", and they donate a dollar from all purchases to a children's charity. I just placed my order not too long ago and I can't wait to use it with the new iPad.

Just a heads up, it doesn't stand well in portrait mode.

Thanks for the heads up. While it would have been nice if it could stand well in portrait mode, the other features of this case certainly make up for it. If the portrait mode feature becomes something that I would still like to have once I receive and use the case, they have a great return policy. I've also noticed that they have sold a portrait mount in the past and will ask them if they'll be offering it again for iPad 3. :)

Do you think it has okay typing angles? It's not a dealbreaker for me, but the Canvas is basically everything I wanted in a cover without that damn tab on the Skinny. brb cancelling my order...

In the SwitchEasy thread a representative emailed a member stating that the new version does not offer a keyboard typing angle, like the old model. Deal breaker for me.

Wasnt considering the Switcheasy, but seeing so many different people recommend it. It just shot up my list..

Shhhhh! :p
I still need a 'proper' case! Perhaps not that one though because if you ever saw me in the street high ridicule would be imminent haha!

I'm liking the Cygnett Lavish, Switcheasy Canvase and the speck (if they bring it out for the iPad 3) Magfolio.

murrr. Welp, I honestly don't think it would bug me the way I see myself using it now, but if I start to use it as a main computer for taking notes, that's probably not good. I guess I'll just wait then.

Is there a case that is STM Skinny in all ways (including a typing angle) but without the tab?

I am following this tread for a while now and my three favorites are:

- STM Skinny
http://www.stmbags.com.au/catalog/laptop-bags/skinny3-ipad3rdgen/
- JoyFactory SmartSuit3
http://www.thejoyfactory.com/product/csa111
- SwitchEasy Canvas
http://www.switcheasy.com/product.php?product=CANVAS_ThenewiPad

Which one would you prefer?
Are there any other slim folio cases I should look at?

Thomas

Of the three you mention above, i think the JoyFactory is both stunning, and practical.
You should also check out the the Macally iPad 3 cases, which are specifically made for the new device, as opposed to many others that claim to fit both iPad 2 & 3, ( which is proving problematic for some, now that they have tested the actual device.)

Nice list. I really like the JoyFactory too, first time I've seen it. I was going to go with this, http://www.odoyo.com/products/listing/2/6/8/pcategory:11/lang:eng , but now I'm going to have to choose between the two.

Anyone have experience with the Odoyo? It looks nice. Would like some input before I buy, though.

Vaja cases

If anyone has a Vaja iPad 2 case (libretto or Agenda), would love to hear if it will fit the new iPad. The website states new cases are coming for this latest gen but wonder if that is necessary given the slight increase in width.

I was looking at those Macally cases and I saw that the front cover of the Protevtive Case Stand folds in three portions (not in four like the Smart Cover). I think this will be unpractical, because I think it won't be stable in the typing angle.
What do you think?
