I wait a month and buy used on Craigslist or Facebook for $35-40.

PS5 Digital Edition for £349 would be an instant buy for me, maybe £399. Can see me picking up the Xbox Series S as well at £249, not been a big Xbox gamer since the Xbox 360 so would be nice to have both this time.
From what I've read I'm starting to fear we're just going to see 45 minutes of gameplay... I sure hope it's not just that. We're all craving for a price and date... (UI would also be nice)
And for some reason I feel they're going to hit us with another big exclusive. New Uncharted or God of War?
Nah, they cannot break the $500 barrier.
I think $449 and $349 would be strategically optimal price points to counter Microsoft. If Sony can afford it...
The PS1, PS2, and PS4 all undercut their competition in price when launched. So I don't see how they have a habit initially over-pricing their products. Only the PS3 did they over price and that was mainly because of the blu-ray drive.Sony continues its habit of initial over-pricing new products (their new Compact Full Frame Camera comes in at $1,700)
From what I've read from Sony fans on the Internet, they'll pay "whatever" and I think Sony knows this...
Don't be surprised if you see:
PS5 w/ disc drive; $549
PS5 all digital: $449.
(if not $499/$599, but hopefully Sony's learned from the PS3).
$499 for PS5
$399 for PS5 digital
Not bad, considering. That $299 XBox S will be tempting for many people though.
All in all, pretty good „show“ tonight. Oddly enough, the game that most impressed me was Hogwarts Legacy! Of course, Demon‘s Souls looks really good, too.
That Plus Collection looks like a pretty cool deal!
Yes they did. Is backwards compatibility that important to you? After I bought a PS4 Pro I couldn't stand the graphics of my PS3 that I thought I would keep playing.boring show for me - not interested in any of the games. Price is good though.
more interested in backwards compatibility....
did sony say all PS5 owners get a bunch of PS4 games for free?
if so, that really sweetens the pot...
Definitely, I can’t see any compelling reason to buy either of them at the moment. Very disappointing. I might just put the money towards upgrading my PC, which is a job I’m not looking forward to since I need to keep it running MacOS.Overall I'm unimpressed by the lack of big launch titles for the next generation of consoles.

I wanna say I saw something on Reddit that it was ~800GB.Has anyone been able to see how much onboard storage they come with?
