I'll be using it for movies in general. I've got a good collection of Blu-rays.
I plan to. I have not owned a DVD player at all for years and just use whatever gaming console I happen to own.

I'm primarily digital nowadays, but I will definitely try a 4K blu ray or 2.
I have bought digital movies from iTunes the past year. Image is good but sound quality is noticably inferior to the soundtrack on bluray dics. This is especially highlighted when I watch plays or musicals. When watched on bluray it sounds like the actors/actresses are performing in my lounge. Their voices are more expressive and and you can pick out nuances such as how they inhale and exhale.
I wish my PS4 Pro had UHD bluray playback. Thankfully both next gen consoles can and I look forward to building a small collection of UHD bluray discs.

Yes 4K. 3D BR is a function of PSVR and hopefully they'll keep that...
I would be completely good with holding off for pre-ordering this thing if it wasn't for Demon's Souls being a launch title. Man, I really want to play that game. It will tide me over until Elden Ring comes out.
Well, I don't own a credit card, but I did buy online. That should be safe enough. I think they'll ride out the console launches and then go belly up before too long.Please keep in mind that people with pre-orders at their local GS which unexpectedly closed have lost both the pre-order and their downpayments... hopefully you used a CC where you can dispute the charge.

Same here! Never played it much before. I started it on PS3, then stupidly attacked the first NPC that appeared in my "hub". Once I had done that, all I could do was repeatedly get killed by him, no way to fix it. Didn't feel like restarting, so I never even saw the first boss.
It's been years and I could have some details wrong but I remember reading about a guy who was pretty far into the game. He bought a spell from a NPC in the hub and tested it out. I think it was an area of effect spells and it hit the NPC, which made the NPC aggro to him. He couldn't buy anything else from the NPC.
I finished the game but felt like I was walking on eggshells the whole time. These days I need games where I can save constantly to enjoy myself!

Got all the Nolan batman movies for $10 like 8 years ago on DVD quality, got bumped to Blu ray then to 4k for free
Tho to be honest at times the stream from iTunes defiantly doesn't look as good as a actual blu ray player
I am getting a disk version as I mostly play action games. Then after I beat them I have 0 interest and sell them. Can't do that if I get it digital.

No doubt. But at no point did any SD content get upgraded to 4K via a digital service.
over time it did if purchased on iTunes. Only thing that didn't was the Disney stuff they never updated the Blu ray to 4k. DVD to Blu Ray to 4k happens if the studio allows it.
worst was some Blu ray came with SD digital copy. I called and asked the companies for HD versions. Harass enough and they did it. Tho apple ended up doing it anyway when the 4k was available.

Oh Im a physical movie buff. All of my favorites must be on disc. The quality is superior and Its mine. Forever. Not stored on some cloud somewhere. I enjoy streaming lots of things, dont get me wrong. But my favorite films have to be on disc for me.

I wish. Some life things got in the way so I'll have to wait until the system releases to try and find one. I signed up for Amazon, Best Buy and Target email lists for when they have more stock of PS5's.
