Waiting for Demon's Souls. I picked up the console in person but I bought DS online so need to wait for the courier. I'll look at some of the other games later :p
 
My order from Target that I placed 9/17 as of last night went into "Preparing to ship" so I hope that means I wont slip to back ordered or anything like that and it ships soon.
 
I wished I paid more attention in securing one during pre-order, but made up my mind back then that won’t rush to get one. Now I’m constantly checking online hoping that there’s stock locally

Dumb question perhaps, but how do you shut down the machine? The only way I could find was to sign out of my account and then there was a power icon at the bottom of the screen, but surely there's a quicker way...

Edit: You need to single-press the PS button. Don't press and hold like on the PS4!

Got my tracking number from Amazon! Unfortunately it's being shipped with UPS for some reason, so I'll be lucky to see it before 9PM tomorrow :(

Looks like they all got shipped UPS. I’m not sure why. Mine had its origin scan about an hour from me, so I don’t know why Amazon can’t use its own distribution network. Fortunately UPS usually shows up at my place by 2 or 3.

Does your tracking number actually work? UPS has no record of mine. I contacted Amazon who say they haven't been picked up yet so who knows what's going on.

Ya it didn't work for a couple hours but did early this afternoon. It's sitting in a warehouse about an hour from where I live.
 
Hmm... put the PS5 into rest mode, then woke it back up, jumped into Demon's Souls, and got severe framerate issues and stuttering sound. Not a good sign! Fortunately closing and restarting the game fixed it.
 
I secured two ps5 (reg disc) from targets launch. Hopefully they can process both for me to pickup. My Brother/nephew will be as excited as myself.

Reddit r/PS5 seems to think there are some Day 1 patch bugs Sony needs to work out.
 
Orders went live on Best Buy. I hit "Add to cart" and it said due to high demand I had to wait until the add to cart button turned yellow again. After a couple minutes it gave me an error and now it's saying sold out. Demand for this thing is crazy!

Couple things:
  • The controller gets software updates also!
  • You can make a global setting change to invert the camera.
  • Astro is a ton of fun.
  • You have to manually kick off the transfer from your PS4. I assumed it would ask me automatically if I wanted to do this.
  • The adaptive triggers are a "wow" moment when you try them.
  • It's huge. It's quiet. I already love it!

I did not buy the camera since it does not support the PSVR (Which still makes zero sense that a better camera couldnt be made to work with PSVR for more accurate tracking. I have Astro Bot VR and absolutely love it, so I am looking forward to the Astro World game. Sony sent me the PSVR Camera adaptor and I got that yesterday, so tomorrow when the PS5 delivers, I will be up all night in my game room. Im sure my wife will enjoy the quiet time lol.

I also have the new 3D Pulse Headphones from Sony, so excited to try those out also.
