The Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5)

I picked up GTA:V again for the PS new for $23.00 This is like my third time buying this game, (I know, crazy). But there’s just something so unique about this game that does rank in my top -three games- of all time, and I can’t wait for the PS5 patch coming in 2021.

It’s only eligible to be downloaded for a month for free... but as long as you still have a ps+ subscription you can play it any time, even years later

that’s why it’s always a good idea to download the game of the month if you think you might be interested in playing it
 
Don't forget to put up alerts on https://psprices.com/ for games you want to buy on the PSN Store when they're discounted. They check the PSN-servers so you'll often get a mail even hours before a new discount gets posted on the PSN-Store.

If you have availability to ‘Target’, they are doing restocks almost every to 2/3 business days (Apparently they’re even restocking quicker than Best Buy does.) My local region has shown multiple times ‘in stock’, they won’t verify anything over the phone, but there’s some local community threads where others are reporting success finding consoles with no issue. (Also, we have four Targets in my region, so that also is a contributor.)
 
They finally fixed the annoying downloading the ps4 game when you have the ps5 upgrade issue on the ps5. No more downloading fifa 21
 
God of war just got the 4K 60FPS bump

control ultimate edition that has ps5 version is free on ps+

yesterday was a good day for ps5
 
Purchased an iPod touch 7th Gen at Best Buy this week (I know, I know, But I love this device for the size in the gym) and what do you know, a stack of PS5’s just sitting on a shelf. I can’t speak for everywhere, but in my region, they’re floating around. I agree with what someone else said, that the PS5 shortage would probably continue if it wasn’t to the economy, or the majority of people probably don’t have an extra $550 [with tax] laying around for a console, plus the new games factored in. I don’t think the ‘hype is dying down’, I just think that it’ll be easier to find a PS5 with the economic conditions still struggling across the board, especially when you look at upgrading expensive hardware.

Oh, and the XSX is pretty much available at any tech store in my area without needing a reserve.

I think that’s pure luck , seeing it on the shelf

I don’t think demand has slowed down or supply has dramatically sped up to match demand at least

I’m glad to bow out of the rat race after november

but I know if I were still hunting by now , I’d probably have given up

Have a look at the prices on eBay - that's absolutely a freak occurence to see multiple units on the shelves. You could have paid for your iPod just by selling one of them.

According to this report they expect shortages to continue into 2022.

I'm excited for State of play event and the free march games. Rumor of Godfall or FF7 remake(was ok, I sold it). PS is giving out real good games recently.

Destruction all stars... isn't that good and smart idea to make it free. Not enough content to be a $40-60 game. I doubt Sony will be giving us triple A titles for free on PS plus but if they gave us Spiderman Remaster that would be awesome. Or Demon Souls

its really nice FFVII remake is free this month if you have PS+, even if it doesn't have ps5 upgrade included.

Have to have the disc version for that or paid digital ? I think
 
Last weekend, I played online on my PS5 for the first time. I plugged the little PS4 headset that I still have into the Dualsense Controller to communicate with my friend. Problem: I could only get ALL the audio (game audio and chat audio) or NONE of it through the headset. Is there a way to have the game audio come through the tv setup, and just the chat audio via the headset? I seem to remember doing it like that on my PS4 some years ago.

You can, but don't know where the setting is by heart (at work currently :p )
 
Just got my ps5 and tried the apple tv app that came with it. To my dismay, it was horribly blocky and looked like it was 1080p or 720p resolution which is dumb because its suppose to be in 4k.

Is there anything I can do about it? Can't seem to find a setting to change it's resolution.

All the videos i played on it looked blurry as well. I'm using a 4k Oled tv and have a 4k apple tv on another hdmi input

but it would be much more convenient if i could use it together with the ps5

Weird, i'm on a 65" 4K tv and video is sharp.

Throttling isn't uncommon and can vary by device even for the same app. Try again today and let us know whether the apple tv app on PS5 streams at 4k.
