Has anyone added internal storage expansion to their PS5 yet? Is it officially supported today? Which products are good? WHat's the experience like?
As far as I know, its not officially put yet, just the Beta version. I have not seen any updates hot my PS5 yet. Everything I have read says only Beta so far.

Maybe... follow up article here questioning the logic used by the Youtuber who did the teardown. He concluded the new model runs hotter because the exhaust temp was higher. But the Ars article makes the point the exhaust might be hotter because more heat is being removed, so the hardware might even be running cooler. I think we will need to wait for more tear downs and measurements.

I would be surprised if the 2022 model year PS5 is a step backwards in heat management.

Really excited to see Venom in a new Spider-Man game. Surely it will look awesome for the PS5.
GOW looks identical to the PS4 graphics wise, so I bet it will arrive in the PS4. If this is true it will hold back the game, but oh well, still awesome to have a new entry in the franchise. Didnt love GOW for PS4, so I hope this one is better.
Wolverine, from Insomniac, looks promising.

Really excited for Gran Tourismo for the PS5, but GTA V does not look like it will be much of a graphical upgrade over the PS4 version, so not sure if I will make the upgrade on that one.
PS5 exclusive Wolverine was a shock. Spider-Man 2 with Venom looks awesome. GT7 in March is a nice surprise.

After all these years, we finally get to see a Wolverine exclusive. Honestly, that’s long over-due and will be hugely popular. One podcast mentioned something about Hugh Jackman making some type of cameo, but it wasn’t disclosed exactly how that will play out.

Major fail today, and the onus is one me.
There were two drops today for the PS5 for those who didn’t know, both with Target and PlayStation direct. Although I don’t suspect that PlayStation direct actually had them in stock, I do think that this was more of a ‘ghost’ model, but that’s neither here nor there.
OK, so why the fail on my behalf? I’m looking to purchase a second PS5, but I thought while I’m at it, I might even buy two if it’s doable. (Well, it wasn’t.)
‘Instocknow’ alerted me that Target had direct stock today, and I put [2] in my cart, and my card authorization info is already pre-installed, so all I had to do, which is add to cart and check out. Well, what I didn’t know, Target is _not_ allowing more than one unit to be purchased at a time, so when I went to make the purchase, it gave me an ‘error’ and kicked out one of PS5’s and made me start over, therefore I lost valuable seconds, resulting in ‘Out of stock.’ Lesson learned, make sure you check to see if there’s limitations before you confirm the check out.
Anyways, grateful to have one already, but finding a second (Let alone a third) one is almost next to impossible, and I’m trying a bit harder, before the holidays start rolling in, which will push us into 2022 already. Just insane to see almost a year approaching and you still can’t find these consoles.
However, I do have one theory that may be semi-accurate. And given Apple is having a Keynote within the next week with new iPhones, Apple watches and AirPods, I’m hoping that the same console scalpers who are also Apple scalpers will have some type of distraction that will draw their attention away from the new Gen consoles, allowing some free space for people to get their hands on one. The other caveat, is the bots never sleep, so that’s another problem on its own.

Ah yeah that needs a Phillips because of the standoff and the screw that screws into it to hold the drive down. And the cover for the slot itself.
It isn't as "nice" as the Xbox solution, but it does provide more options (and price ranges).
I'm just glad it is standard SSD and not proprietary.
