Oh the 30th anniversay edition PS5Pro comes with the PS Portal... So I guess it is going to be easily 1000USD
i don't think it comes with a portal.

It comes with the Edge pro controller and a regular controller, and one of those charging docks for 2 controllers.

Portal should be sold seperately

Yeah I am not sure why I thought it would come with a portal. Either way this will be an expensive buy. :(

The controllers [especially the edge] looks super sleek.

We have a confirmed PS state of play tomorrow 6PM ET/3PM PST. 30_+ mins. I expect PS to announce the exact timing of when PS Direct opens. [I will be using GS on Oct-10], however we should be able to garnish the popularity based on what happens on Thursday.

It's a LONG shot, but i'm hoping it will be similar to the iPhone 16 pre-orders.

State of Play wasn't bad, but not very exciting for me personally.

Once I get around to playing Ghost of Tsushima, I will probably get excited about a sequel. :D

But to be honest, I was just waiting the entire time to see if a new Naughty Dog game is announced. Starting to get a little worried about that studio. Four years into the PS5's lifespan, and all we have seen from them was one remake, two remasters, and a cancelled multiplayer game. :(

EDIT: I guess Hitman VR is pretty cool, if you have a VR2!

Yeah NO surprise here and it looks like FF Rebirth was the most impressive looking. I'm waiting for a PlayStation that can do full RT and fidelity mode in 4K @60FPS. I'm not even sure if the PS6 will be able to hit that consistently.

My Time With The PS5 Pro Reaffirmed I Shouldn't Spend $700 Right Now--My Base PS5 Is Still Enough

I can see how this console will make developers happy, but it doesn't feel like most players are going to get a lot out of it.

Full 4K/60fps w/RT could be for the PS6 Pro. My guess, PS6 could push it to comfy medium at 45fps.

if you still have the PS4 Pro and looking for that extra boost, PS5 Pro will answer that itch. Devs do have a bit more breathing room with the Pro this year.

Digital foundry reported some things with the FF7 Rebirth visuals. I’m just waiting patiently for it to come out on PC so I can enjoy it to the fullest.

No chance PS5 Pro can accomplish their goals when even my 4090 can’t

I still have my PS4 Pro and for all the hype it was a huge letdown which is why I decided to pass on the PS5 Pro. That $700 will go towards the PS6 in 2-3 years. It's crazy how there are new titles coming out for both the PS4 and PS5. It has been a weird console generation for the PlayStation.

If it’s can play GTA6 at 60fps but the base ps5 or Series X, it will be worth it to many. However its concerning that Hogwarts Legacy, an open world game like GTA6 does not have 60fps but instead only has additional additional ray tracing.

That $700 will go towards the PS6 in 2-3 years. It's crazy how there are new titles coming out for both the PS4 and PS5. It has been a weird console generation for the PlayStation.

This is how it will go:

2027: PS6 Announcement
2028: PS6 Deliveries Commence. Congrats you can now play PS5 games.
2029: PS6 patches for PS5 and PS4 games.
2030: First PS6 titles that maximise the new hardware and does 4k/60 in all title.

We went through this with the PS5 and Series X. I’m not doing it again.

Why waste your life waiting for this experience. I have had a Series X from launch. Bought a gaming PC in Dec last year and I haven’t used my Xbox since and won’t buy the next generation consoles except for the switch.

I can play with PS6 graphics today. I hit 60fps or 120fps with high visuals in almost every game. This includes Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man Miles Morales which I own. I don’t need to wait 12-18months graphical patches or be patronised by studios who insist that 30fps is the best experience for the game. Basically Playstation and Xbox titles run better on PC.

The only reason why I haven’t sold my Series X is because it won’t be avialable on PC on launch day. If PS5 Pro plays the game at 60fps but not the base consoles, I’ll sell my series X and buy a used PS5 pro.

one can have both.

I ordered the ps5 pro to play on my 65in oled tv, but also have a gaming pc with rtx 4070 super ti card, and a 39in oled monitor.

It's not either or.

PC, i can play pirated games, which saves me money lol. I buy steam games on discount. For any game that can be pirated, i'm pirating it. I downloaded God of War Ragnarok, Space marine 2. Not paying full price for PS5 games for them. Bought Wukong on both ps5 and steam though.

PS5, i play single player games and ps5 exlusives.

It doesnt have to be an either or choice. It can be both.

Off course you can have both.

-I have a switch. The kids love it.
-I prefer playing COD on my M1 iPad with an Xbox controller. It's super quick to get started, blast for 20min and go back to texting or watching youtube.
-I love the Series X because of quick resume and being able to take it to my GF's house.
-I bought one of my brothers a Series S. It's so small you barely notice it in his lounge. It's a mircale that it can play flight simulator.

My previous message was just a challenge to those waiting for the PS6. I can already tell you what it will be able to do. Quality mode will be bumped from 30 to 60fps, performance mode will be bumped up from 60-120fps all in 4k using PSSR. You don't need to wait another 4-5 years to play TLSO 1 remastered with these settings. You can do it today on a PC.

However the base PS5 remains brilliant value :)

Because I have the experience of the PS4 Pro etched in my cranium. It was a BIGGLY disappointment. I also have every console this generation and the PS5 runs all of my games fine enough that I don't feel spending more money for diminishing returns is worth it. What hurt demand and why the Series X and PS5 were hard to get was due to the Covid lockdowns and supply shortages. However I scored both the Series X and PS5 with 4 months after release.

I will be waiting for the PS6. Besides 1st party games have been lacking this generation and a lot of the PS5 games can be found on the PS4/PS4 Pro as well but a good number have been remakes.

Hopefully the fiasco of Concord will encourage Sony to refocus on developing first party titles with great story telling. The world doesn't need more Fortnite or COD wannabe titles with season passes and micro transactions.

yeah base ps5 runs totally fine for me now. But who knows, when i get the ps5 pro, the advantage may be apparently clear once in person haha. I can still sell my ps5 fat for a good value now. It has lasted me for 4 years. Not a bad deal to just top up abit more for the pro.

Got my order in. 3-hours later still available and added to cart no problems. Granted it's a placeholder until Oct-10th when GameStop/Walmart open their queues.

Picked up Space Marine 2, and it’s a bit crap to be honest. Cumbersome controls, does look poor in performance mode and a bit slow in quality mode, they said they’ll fix it.. just another generic poorly made fix it later game of this gen. This gen has sucked, really badly for games on PS5. I should have got Wukong or Star Wars instead.
Space marine 2 is borked on PS5, play it on pc or series x. It’s awesome.
