Sony also only uploaded the presentation in 1440p, not 4k at max bitrate.Yeah I agree it was poorly presented. The side by side comparisons they were showing didn't look that different. YouTube compression probably didn't help with that.

40fps with VRR is a decent compromise, maybe
VRR in brilliant in theory but is unreliable from a Q&A point of view. Performance varies from great to unplayable depending on TV/Monitor, gaming engine and how chaotic the game is.TLOU2 40 FPS with VRR is GREAT. I'd love more implementations like this, especially at hopefully 60 FPS and beyond.
If you believe Digital Foundry. 40FPS/VRR mode is a great compromise when a game can do 30FPS easily, but not 60FPS.VRR in brilliant in theory but is unreliable from a Q&A point of view. Performance varies from great to unplayable depending on TV/Monitor, gaming engine and how chaotic the game is.
This is why developers default to 30 and 60 fps settings that they are 100% sure can be consistently achieved everywhere in a game.
Yes. Many TVs support it but the experience can vary. Issues include flicker, stutters or input lag. Some studios don't want the headache of negative reviews, refunds or customer service enquiries if a feature doesn't work as advertised. If you believe Digital Foundry. 40FPS/VRR mode is a great compromise when a game can do 30FPS easily, but not 60FPS.
I can contest to this. Last of Us Part I with Fidelity VRR flickers like crazy. Went back to standard Fidelity 4K/30 and it was ideal.Yes. Many TVs support it but the experience can vary. AND you don’t have a subscription to pay to play multiplayer games or online AND digital titles are not super expensive and only available from one place (SONY) AND your free monthly games, are actually free from EPIC game storeThat’s the white elephant in the room. For PS5 Pro + vertical stand + disc drive, you are on the cusp of a 4060 PC. The latter will become cheaper next year when 5060 GPU launch. Alternatively you could buy a handheld PC but also benefit from access to Last of Us, Spider-Man and Xbox titles on the same device.
Most importantly, with PC, you don’t have to wait for patches but can instantly play any game at any fidelity you fancy.
What will happen is that prices of PSN and Gamepass will likely increase to compensate for loss in revenue from hardware sale.AND you don’t have a subscription to pay to play multiplayer games or online AND digital titles are not super expensive and only available from one place (SONY) AND your free monthly games, are actually free from EPIC game storehttps://store.minisforum.uk/products/atomman-g7-ti Valve need to release something like this.

Not sure if this system would enable increased draw distance for every game. There may be a few that get updated with improvements. One thing I find more important than the number of frames or pixels is the draw distance in open world scenarios. Is there any indication that there could be less pop-ins on the PS5 Pro?

The biggest failing of the ps5 and series x marketing is that all the below are brilliant:This would apply to all games with an open world map, like GTA games, RPGs, Minecraft, No Man's Sky, etc.
Picked up Space Marine 2, and it’s a bit crap to be honest. Cumbersome controls, does look poor in performance mode and a bit slow in quality mode, they said they’ll fix it.. just another generic poorly made fix it later game of this gen. This gen has sucked, really badly for games on PS5. I should have got Wukong or Star Wars instead.
Hmmmm - this game is on my wish list as well.......may get Star Wars Outlaws instead for now then, and wait under the price for Space Marine has dropped further!
Wukong looks good, but it just seems like its a boss battle after another, with little actual story etc?
Wukong is not just a boss battle. It has an incredible story and probably the best ps5 game i've ever played to date. GOTY for me.Hmmmm - this game is on my wish list as well.......may get Star Wars Outlaws instead for now then, and wait under the price for Space Marine has dropped further!

At least the retro duel sense controllers will be sold seperately. An all black PS5 would look good with one of those controllers.Absolute Sexy. I'd love to get this, but i'll be trying my luck with the standard PS5 Pro on oct 10th through GameStop. GameStop gave me $800 in gift card, so I imagine that should only cover the PS5 pro and not the 30-year anniversary.
That is seriously tempting. I love it.Holy hell these are stunning! Hopefully scalpers won't get the majority of them:
