If $200m has been spent developing a game but is only expected to generate $40m in it's lifetime, a write off is ideal. If you abandon the project and write it off, you may be able to claim the $200 million development cost as a tax-deductible loss.

This is why Sony pulled the rug on concord.

Who said anything about it getting cancelled? And many are actually criticising the obnoxious attitude if the presumably main character, VERY few are actually criticising the shaved head. Reading the supposedly leaked plot line for the game the reason for the shaved head is pretty stupid, but nothing compared to the rest of the game.

A poster whose message got deleted by moderators. There were also complaints about female video game characters not being attractive enough.

I have loved all Uncharted and TLOU games, so I am very optimistic about their next game!

Uncharted 4 was a bit meh to me, loved 2 and 3 though, also the spin off one with the two women was good. Not sure what they'll do with that now though? Really not sure about this new one, probably won't be out for another 2 years anyway.

Yes. To be honest, My expectations were exceptionally high for this particular event. The Days Gone Remaster is nice, but not the first-party studio we were hoping for.
 
Which 27” 4k monitor would you purchase for a PS5 or PS5 Pro?

What do you think about the Alienware AW2725QF? Or the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCS/XG27UCG? Or maybe the Gigabyte M27UA?

Any other recommendation of a non-OLED 4K monitor good for the PS5? Should I look for Dolby Vision as one of the recommended features?
 
Are you seeing the PS5 Pro down to 669€ in your countries as well? Would this mean a model revision of the PS5 Pro is coming?

I don’t know what to do, honestly. It is a good deal, I think

Hell Is Us? I've seen a youtube video a while back from the dev and liked the fact that it's a game that "doesn't hold your hand". It's an old school game where you have to find your way around without markers and a magical GPS.

Buy one that supports Dolby Vision. It's well worth it.

Check their HDR and Dolby Vision performance and this can greatly differ between displays. Hence why LG's OLED range are gold standard. They tick every box.

IMO, Good HDR/DB performance has a greater visual impact than ray tracing or improved graphics.

While I can agree with you on the HDR, my eyes wouldn’t forgive me buying an OLED monitor for extended use during the next 10 years or so. PWM or flickering really bothers my eyes.
 
I have played dome of Ratchet And Clank Rift Apart this week, and I have to say graphically it really isn’t that impressive. I can see why it has ray tracing and can zoom so fast into different areas, because the textures aren’t massively high in detail. Not sure if I’ll play it through or not, I’ll see. Should finish GOW Ragnarok really, and that’s a nice looking game.

I like Rift Apart. It's colourful, dynamic and has nice and unique art work. Easy and fun linear-ish game to play when you are not in the mood to grind in an RPG or play hyper competatively in FPS titles.

I played some more of it and it does seem fun, I’ll carry on I think.

EDIT, nah not for me. Think I'll grab Astrobot when it's on sale or on PSN instead.

Night and day difference between base and pro at 60fps. The pro has real time ray tracing, global illumination and higher texture quality. Like comparing ps4 to ps5.
