I picked up Star Wars Outlaws for my PS5 in the week, it was on sale in the Steam store so I grabbed it and it just won’t run on my Steam Deck as it just isn’t powerful enough, so luckily it’s on a reduced price at Amazon for the PS5, enjoying it so far. When I booted it up on the PS5 I was like instantly feeling the MUCH smoother and faster gameplay with better graphics.
I was actually pretty impressed with last night's State of Play! 
Quite a few titles that looked interesting. Loved the Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection and the fighting controller.

The only reason I still have my PS5 is because of The Last of Us.
Fantastic games that I replay often.
Otherwise I'm currently playing AC:Shadows and find it a little overwhelming - ie, too much to do with upgrading stuff etc. I prefer more linear games TBH....

With all the games announced by both Sony and Microsoft, frankly they have cemented my PS5 as my gaming system even more, and the PS6 when it comes out. I may buy a game controller so I can emulate my PSP games on my iPad though. My actual PSP is a bit tired these days sadly but it does still work.
DualShock and DualSense controllers work with your iPad. Google how to put them in manual pairing mode and add them on your iPad like any other bluetooth device.
Thanks, I already knew about that though and have been using my old PS4 controller but find it a bit cumbersome to lug around, but looking around it seems to be the best choice. I will set up PPSSPP at some point on my iPad.
Hi! It’s July first… do you think there might be any PS5 Pro sale. July 8th is the beginning of the Amazon Prime days, but I’m not sure if it will get a good enough discount…
It currently sits at 800€, and it might drop down to 750€. Meanwhile, I’ve found an “open box” PS5 Pro for just 645€, so… maybe I’ll go that route instead.

I doubt it, I think it's a bad economical environment for console pricing. Sony can hold firm with PS5 pricing to compete with the Switch 2 and hold the Pro pricing well above it.
The only "sale" that I know of is PS+ members (I think USA only) received a 20% off coupon for their accessories but no consoles.
You might be able to find a deal for a used base model then wait for pricing to drop. I have the base launch model and was unhappy with the Pro not having having a disc drive included. With that said, I've been enjoying the heck out of Death Stranding 2 on a 1440p 120hz monitor even though the PS5 isn't pushing out that exactly.
Yeah, I’ve decided I’m gonna try to purchase it, even if it’s 640€, it’s a good price for the machine, and I’d really like to play this summer.
About a month ago it dropped to $650 for the Days of Play on Amazon and according to this Best Buy did as well. I caved.
Just buy it. You can easily claw back money by buying used or discounted games over the coming years.
Yeah, and I’ve thought that I can always re-sell it in a couple of years if I don’t use it, because I suspect the demand is going to keep strong. Even on the second hand market.
In the end, 20-40EUR discount or not doesn’t matter. Either you want a PS5 Pro and will clock 300-500 hours on it, or you will rarely play it and end up selling it. It’s not a rational purchase.
Yes indeed, I agree, it’s not a rational purchase and I’ve been many years without being able to play videogames.

So many exclusive titles to play to… but I’m strangely drawn to Final Fantasy XVI
I got me the limited edition pro at launch and have been happy with it. Sold my disc version PS5 a month before the pro launch when the 2nd hand market wasn't flooded with with PS5 yet from people who upgraded so it wasn't that steep moneywise.
The trouble was finding a disc drive, not sure why but on the Belgian PlayStation Direct store they are sold out 99% of the time. And other stores knew so they sold their stock at 150/200% of the recommended retail price and I refused to buy it for those prices. Took me 7 months to get one at the normal price. Still disgusted with Sony for it.
Nevertheless: awesome console, especially in old school gray.
@MisterSavage how's DS2? Had it pre-ordered, cancelled, ordered again, cancelled and end up not buying it. Not because I was in doubt about the game, but because I have a huge backlog (still haven't played The Witcher 3 :-( ) and feel guilty buying new games unless they're heavily discounted.

Is it there an enhanced version of The Witcher 3 specifically for PlayStation 5 Pro? Yeah, I too have a huge backlog, I sold my PS4 Pro early because that was a jet engine, and I still have lots of games from that generation pending to be played. I haven’t even played any FallOut, and I’ve read New Vegas is the best: Does New Vegas run better on the PS5 Pro?
Due to the backlog you mention, I really hope many “old” games run better on the PS5 Pro. I know there are exceptions such as Bloodborne, but I really hope many games on my backlog list have enhancements: Uncharted 4, The Last of Us I&II Remasters, The Last Guardian, Astrobot games (is the first one still included on the PS5 Pro?), Silent Hill 2 remake, Resident Evil 0&1 remakes, RE 2&3 remakes, DMC 5… and OF COURSE, Red Dead Redemption 2.
Lots and lots of games from mid PS4 Gen and all the games released since then.
By the way, as I said, I had to sell my PS4 Pro soon after purchasing it due to how loud the noise was on that machine. I really expect the PS5 Pro to be much quieter…

There is no PS5 Pro enhanced version of Witcher 3, but there is a PS5 version. New Vegas doesn't run on PS5 or PS4 even. It was a PS3 game. It does run on XSX though because it's part of the 360 backwards compatibility program. But it should run fine even on a toaster PC these days. Fallout 4 runs on PS5.
You should check out digital foundry's PS5 Pro review to see what to expect.
If you're intent on playing Fallout New Vegas, on the PS5, you can actually, though it may not be feasible. You'll need the subscribing to the PlayStation Plus Premium and use the streaming service. I've to played play station streaming service, so I cannot comment in how good/bad/ugly it might be.
Just a side note, it can be a pain to get Fallout New Vegas to run on a PC, playing this old game on Windows isn't all rainbows and unicorns. Driver issues, display compatibility all can prevent the game from running. At one point I had to install an older version of my GPU drivers, and play some funky games of starting a new game, hitting some keys, and then trying to load an existing saved game (which I had).
Well it runs well on Steam Deck anyways. Even the GOG version I have required no fiddling.
It's also available for streaming on Game Pass.
Okay, got it, no New Vegas for me. Anyway, I’m not a Fallout fan, but I know it is the best Fallout so I was open to play it.
If I ever get an M4 or M5 Mac mini, I’ll try to run out there, over several layers of emulation.
