£600 for the 32gb... Yikes!

I'm just gonna queue up outside my local O2 this year again and upgrade my contract, spread the cost it seems if the handset prices are similar to vodafones there is no difference in cost in buying it outright with o2 and doing simplicity at £15 a month and buying it on £35 a month contract with vodafone and a handset price of £250

thats the sim free price meaning it's unlocked, you can reserve a payg phone via the apple store for pick up on 24th

Massive mess up by apple on prices, especially still trying to sell 3gs for £419. If you want proof they're messing around UK customers look at the prices of the mac mini - $699 US and £649, $699 is £473 at todays exchange rate.... holding out hopes for cheaper iPhone 4's on o2 now, but get the feeling there won't be many pre orders else where, phones4u and carphone warehouse may be worth a shot...

Add in the lack of white and the fact you can't actually order one because the stores crashed and apple look a bit stupid right now.

I agree - I know Apple is a premium brand but UK prices are getting stupid. The lowest model Mac Mini has gone from £510 to £650 - that’s a massive jump. Also, I was looking at the MBP the other day and noticed that the low end 15" model is now £1500 whereas it was something like £1299 before the model upgrades. I just can’t justify these new prices when you can get equivalent models for 1/3 of the price elsewhere.

I'm not convinced.

ok.

so because you say no pre-orders that makes it true?

Oranges iPhone 4 section is down at present

ok. Let's see 🙂

looks like o2 will be taking pre-orders!

Neither their site, or their 'pre-orders' team have said this. I've spoken with several people already this morning and they're all consistantly saying no pre-orders. They will only take orders on day of sale (24th).

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at shipping dates

didn't see option to pick up in store 🙁
oh well ordered mine 32g black!!
anyone have an email yet re confirmation 😀

Guys, I just preordered mine for pickup in a local Apple Store, and nowhere during the process did it mention the prices! I preordered the 16gb SIM-free version - does anyone know the price?

Thanks

Do you reckon the PAYGO phones will be around £50 cheaper?

I've reserved a PAYGO. It also states that you can change your plan once in store so if you have a change of heart that's all good! It also states that PAYGO is only available on Orange & O2.

I have placed a reservation to pick up from the apple store in Newcastle.

It's pretty cool, because it asks if you want it sim free/unlocked. I'm going to cut down my existing SIMplicity £20 deal and stick it in so o2 can't tinker with my rolling monthly contract and 'accidentally' take me off unlimited data.

Also.......I presume I can put this sim into an ipad when I get one........(providing I don't need my phone when I'm using it in ipad)

No standing in line for me next Thursday!

Who's reserved for store pickup? It seemed a bit easy. What happens if you just don't turn up?!

I'd like a confirmation e-mail now thanks, Apple!

Just got mine - White City from 8am 😀

Thing is I've nearly got my order through the system now. 32GB and dock and discounted MobileMe, and will save £20 through Quidco, but the iPad arrived a day early so I don't know where to send it. iPad arrived a day early for me, but I have the 24th off (just lucky chance, not arranged).

If I send it to home and it arrives early, I'll miss it. If I send it to work and it arrives on the 24th, I won't be there.
