for the apple store reservations.

I dont need my iphone to be unlocked, im happy for it to be locked to o2 as thats all im going to use.

is it cheaper to choose a PAYG one rather than the sim free one?

In my experience sim free is usually more expensive, but is this the case for iphone?

I imagine the carriers would subsidize the cost a bit. My guess is that it will be £450 for 16 gig. It wouldn't make sense for it to be the same price as sim free.

Reserved a 32gb iPhone Pay Monthly at Regent Street, rather worried if o2 announce they are charging some stupidly high price for it. On the phone to Regent street store on hold, 8 calls ahead of me. Asking if it's ok if I get there late in the day like 4ish.

I posted this at about 8am. Networks have removed the option for pre-orders and we will just have to wait until the 24th and join the rat race! There's a supply issue (I was told) that's causing problems with pre-orders. That and I'm sure they've still not worked out pricing... 🙄

Personally I think they will open up pre-orders.. Otherwise they will probably lose alot of internet orders, for people who can't get to a store on the day..

Why do you guys order from the Apple store and not O2 PAYG then ask Apple to unlock the device? It will be cheaper.

Because atm Apple is the only people doing preorders and like others on here I am impatient!

Removed pre-orders... Hmmm I wonder. Budget on the 22nd, VAT is certainly to go up. I wonder if they've removed pre-orders, and price announcements until they know what VAT will be. They don't want an extra 5% added after they've taken pre-orders without it. 🙄

Does not seem to be looking good for apple at this present moment of time..

£599.... is it just me that thinks that is an insane amount of money to spend?

Add 12 months of £15/m onto that and it comes out to the same or cheaper than what someone would spend on a £35+/m contract with subsidised phone over 18 or 24 months.

You know VAT is paid to HMRC right?

I keep getting "error can't find page" when I click on the pre-order button.

I am sure I am not the only one but you guys are annoying having all succeeded 😛

SO I pre-ordered my 32Gb just a few minutes ago.
In-Store Pick Up (I like the hype and the cute store girl clapping at me)

I got the confirmation email.

But being a fool, I cannot remember if I chose Sim Free, Pay Monthly or Pay As You Go. Woops.

The confirmation page and email don't tell you either way.

I'm a bit weary of it all now.

Does anyone else have a confirmation email they care to post online so I can compare? (Obviously feel free to blank out any personal info)

I feel like a right **** now. Sorry.

Im so pissed off
Apple need to sort this crap out
Its not fair that 32GB orders have gone through!
HAS ANYBODY HERE ACTUALLY MANAGED TO ORDER A 16GB?!
Ive been trying for 1 hour on multiple laptops, all of them timing out!
Now the whole store is down?!
W T F?!

Delivery date showing 25th-28th it seems it's the bumper that is pushing the date up, will call apple later and if this is the case the bumper will be getting bumped.

This is exactly what happened to me. It was actually authorizing my card when the store went down. It's an f-ing shambles.

Somewhere in the 4 steps I went through in the reservation process it said they would hold it until close of business on 24th so 4pm should be fine. Please repost when (I hope) Regent Street confirm this for you.

Amen its a right mess and brilliant marketing too. The more expensive is working fine but the cheaper one is throwing up errors.

Can I ask why people are cutting their sims? O2 have already said that existing customers can get a new micro sim for nothing, in fact they should be posting them out to people that registered an interest in the new iPhone. Either that or just go into an O2 shop and they will give you one.

There is a possibility that when o2 move your details over from the regular sim to a micro sim they will put you on the limited data SIMplicity tariff and you will loose 'unlimited'. If you use your original sim cut down, they are non the wiser that you have changed handsets....

It says on he site that they will hold it until the stores closes which i think is about 9pm

In the U.S. you can't get SIM-free iPhones, they're all locked to AT&T.
