I got a quote for £200 for my iPhone 3G 16GB a few weeks ago from O2 Recycle. The phone had a copious amount of dust trapped between the glass and the screen and also had a significant crack in the back case running about an inch and a half from the dock connector upwards.

They gave me the full amount when I sent them my phone.

Did Apple allow you to upgrade to the 3GS in store or just new contracts? When did o2 take orders for the 3G and 3GS? Right after the WWDC? I'm getting stressed that working long days and not being near a computer till late in the afternoon will mean I won't be able to order online quick enough once it gets announced!

first of all deep breathes lol I think apple may say you can start ordering iPhones from *insert date apple* so maybe have someone try on your behalf to get one? ooorrrr pull a sick day lol
 
I had a right panic on then. At 5pm I was sat in traffic on a Asda car park. Just was not moving. Took 35 minutes to get off. Just got home. Panic over.

So iphone is out June 24th in usa, we should get it same day.AT&T are pricing the 3GS 32gb at $199, which means they wil be moving the 4g 32gb to $299 so we'll likley being seeing the iphone 4g 32gb at same price as current UK 3gs 32gb price, so £540-£550 on PAYG.

Looks like the 4g 16gb will be £440-450, black and white available for 16gb and 32gb.Preorders start june 15th, shipping to 5 countries in June, another 18 in July, lets hope we are one of the 5!!Edit, yes UNITED KINGDOM is one of the 5!!!!!!
 
Wow, now all I need is confirmation that it will be available to buy on PAYG, and I'll be incredibly happy!
I really love this new phone, Apple have really stepped up IMO. :cool:

The date was also as expected (by me at least) for us in the UK.

I thought it would be the 18th for the US and a week later for the the UK.

Overall - really happy with the phone and cost and release date! Can't wait!

where did you get confirmation of 440?
 
Just got off the phone with Orange upgrades. Fairly unhelpful - they said they don't know when they're getting them in (funny since we all know the release date). Said they wont be taking pre-orders and to check back on the website soon.

I don't buy it. Let me know if anyone else has a different experience!
