If o2 said I could buy a handset on contract price and start a new 18/24 month contract then i would get it. But at the moment...if I traded in my 3GS I'd get £262 and I'm not sure I can justify putting another £200 for the new one, i'm not that impressed. :/

And I think PAYG will be, as O2 are sending out sims, and I am PAYG. (I hope so, anyway!)

This is what I think as well. No reason why they wouldn't release it on PAYG seeing as the 3gs was.

Even if o2 allow me to come out of contract early and sign another 18 month one I think I'll still go down the PAYGO route. My contract ends next June. I'm Gold Priority so would be eligible for a upgrade next March. Just in time for iPhone 5.

Well with the release of this iPhone being so plainly obvious, you would hope they would have some kind of pre-order structure in place (outside of Apple's own).

I bet you will all complain of rubbish info because of inate questions by yourselves.

I'm on this tariff also, if you register your interest on the o2 website they send you a micro sim ahead of launch. Presumably this lets you keep your same number.

How do i go about the pre order process on an upgrade ? as im going to need to re enter a contract aswell. Thanks as i dont get how it would work exactly

I got my HD2 in december on a 2 year contractract.
I now plan on buying the iPhone 4 outright.

I know ill be able to cut my simcard and stick it in the iPhone

But can i ring up O2 and get them to move me onto an iphone tarriff, and send me out a micro-sim?

what about this micro sim business, for those of us still on an iphone contract and are just going to go buy the iphone 4 on pay and go and put our contract sim in but can't. how do we get a micro sim?

I like the white phone, but I don't think it looks right with the bumpers on imo. So, I still don't know what colour to get!
