Same, No Order Confirmation, But I Do Have An Order Number, And When I Login To My Apple Store Account, It Shows My Order And Everything So...

Look, I know this is off-topic and I'm rally not trying to be a troll, but doesn't it take so much more effort to type like that? Why do it?

But if you buy one on contract and sell it off, you've still got the contract to pay and no-ones going to pay more for your second hand unlocked phone than they can get a brand new unlocked phone for from Apple are they?

There will always be someone willing to pay way over the odds to get an unlocked iphone.

It amazes me too why people bother, lack of education must be a part of it and a lot of time on their hands.

Thinking maybe i should go for a 12month simplicity plan now before the 24th this month that way i will get:-

£15 a month - 300 mins, Unlimited txts, Unlimited Internet
OR
£20 a month - 600 mins, Unlimited txts, Unlimited Internet

Hopefully then may be best to buy sim free and get delivered to my house as i wouldn't be able to get to Meadowhall until Saturday.

are the iphones being sold on the apple website unlocked?

will they work with my virgin mobile sim (assuming i cut it down to the size of a micro sim of course)?

thanks

managed to get my pre order in about 1pm today, but still haven't received confirmation email.

I can log into my account online and view order details, but still no email.

Anyone else experiencing this?
I am assuming my order is definately placed. What do you think?

No offence but you need to see it from their perspective. Firstly discounts on the iPhone are non-existent, and what the guy is telling you about employees even is true.

But your big mistake (if I've read your post correctly) is that although you've been with them 10 years, you've failed to keep renewing with consecutive contracts. Which the guy you spoke to meant to say when he said you're 'sim-free'.

I've been with Vodafone for a decade (I added an extra O2 contract when I needed my 3G) and I've always been careful to renew every 18 months either taking a handset (to give to family or sell) or sometimes getting cash back. I was happy with them, so why not. As a result, they've always been VERY accommodating, and will "almost certainly make it worth my while" with the iPhone 4 if I choose them this time round.

I forgot to add to the end there, I still think they're being unreasonable in not offering you something either discounted tariff etc. considering you are a long-standing and loyal customer. If it was me, purely on principle, I'd consider your 10-year 'marriage' over and file for divorce.

According to some guys here they are all unlocked but proceed with caution as you don't want to end up with a phone you cannot use unless you play it safe and buy the simfree one.

Let us know how you get on :)

thats what im asking...is the sim free one on the apple website?

is it definitely unlocked?

thanks

This reminds me of the guy who put up the 16GB WiFi iPad on eBay before it came out for £600 (or was it £800?) and said he'd ship it to you when it was released :p

lol exactly the same as now, wow I would never pay almost double the price of a phone cause it is unlocked!

But where there is a demand someone will fill it

Managed to get my Black iPhone 4 32Gb ordered around 12 today, I'll be collecting from White City, Westfield. Any one else collecting from White City?

I'll be signing a contract. I see we have the choice of O2, Orange & Vodafone in store :D.

Any news on tariffs and handset costs?

Yeah true in hindsight, maybe i should have got the 3GS sold that and put towards sim-free iPhone 4.
But at the time didn't know about iPhone 4 and also she said that i could drop down to a monthly 30 day rolling simplicity contract. So thought i was still classed as carrying on with my contract, never knew or was told i would be classed as sim-free and loose discounts.

I understand from their point of view in regards to contracts just a shame that having been with them this wasn't discussed with me in regards to loosing benifits. With me hearing the word "contract" and her saying "this is what most people do" Maybe they are trained for that purpose alone so we do loose benifits who knows!?

Saying that as their is no discounts on iPhone anyhow again this time around maybe it doesn't make as much difference.

I thought it said on the Apple pages that the iphone 4 is sold unlocked for you to choose your provider and tariff???

Wonder if my £7.50 a month Insurance that i have been paying for both my last phone and this iPhone will carry over to the iPhone 4 with O2. Instead of paying around £15 that it has now gone upto. It does say that Insurance can carry over but doesn't say if price will change!?

Also (could be a daft question:rolleyes:) would i have to buy the iPhone 4 with O2 PAYG/Sim free to insure my phone, or could i still get the phone from Apple as it has still got my O2 sim in the iPhone??

Just had a thought on this hope you don't mind?.. I think it takes a lot of courage to potentially walk into an Apple store without knowing any of the costs involved, they could turn out to be crap lol

I am amazed that apart from 1 carrier no others have released any OFFICIAL information and expecting customers to upgrade or take out brand new contracts blindly without knowing the cost of the iPhone itself etc.

Oh to answer your question..... not a sign of anything price wise!
