I am honestly stunned that O2 might be letting 3G early adopters upgrade early.

If they do this (without a horrid catch) I will probably love them forever.

This is o2 there is bound to be a catch no network will want to lose money, I think they will do this.

18 month contract with an early upgrade IF you sign up for a new 24 month contract so this way you sign up for longer and they get the 6 months back (assuming you had 6 months left) at the end of the 24 month term with the same prices as a brand new contract.

I'm dying to know how it's going to work with the pre-orders. I just hope O2 doesn't balls it up. And at least with pre-ordering, there won't be any need to be up at 4am to line up at the O2 store like I did with the 3G!

Only thing now that would put me of the purchase of the iphone 4 would be a silly price on contract.

Same here!

I would take this if offered. Then I'd be in sync for when the 6G comes around… Just in time for the Olympics. :-D

Hmmmmm I want one. Even though since i got my iPad my iPhone isn't used half as much!

Wouldn't be able to afford on pay as you go so would have to be contract. Problem is Im 6 months into a 24 month one with a cheap nokia (although I'm currently using my girlfriends old 3G) at £15 pm + unlimited data bolt on.

Anyone think I'll be eligible for o2s upgrade offer? I'd be willing to up my contract and pay an upgrade fee for the phone. Not getting my hopes up but like said big thumbs up to o2 if I can.

I would be shocked if they let you upgrade so early into your contract.

It's interesting that O2 have a site up minutes after the keynote, and no one else does yet...

Doubt they know themselves yet, or would be willing to let it slip. Just speculating.

Few days and well know more I just hate the bit in between not knowing!

Wait a few more days, as you've said, but they'll probably base info off previous data.

Or until the next upgrade in a years time and they say no chance this time around. Then you can stick two fingers up at them :)
