You'll be able to buy sim-free and then sign up for a PAYG tariff. I'd think it would be stupid of O2 to not allow you do take out a new PAYg iphone plan. I assume that they aren't offering it at launch simply because of demand, so if you have an unlocked one, I can't seem thee being a problem!

handset prices on the 18 month contracts have gone up £30....

Waiting to see TESCOs offering now before deciding but they look even more appealing

is it me or does it seem remarkably cheap???

for example

simplicity 12 month @ £20 = £240 + 32gb @ £209 = TOTAL £449 (12 months) £600 (18 months)

Sim free 32gb @ £599 + Simplicity £20 for 18 months £360 = £959

Have i read the table wrong?!?!

Where are you managing to get a 32GB iPhone 4 for £209?!

I think you might have!

Thats me back again with the spreadsheet.

O2's prices now added to the spreadsheet.

Waiting for Vodafone now to reveal their prices, but based on the move from O2 and Orange, Id expect Vodafone to upp their phone costs by £30 to come into line with them.

PAYG prices coming from O2 this afternoon.

Get grabbing and compare - http://bit.ly/dqmdsn

So on all but the most basic package, the handsets are the same price on 18m and 24m?

If so, on a 18m contract, o2 are over £100 cheaper @ £35 per month.

I will bite at those prices, as an existing customer when can I buy out my current contract and order iPhone 4 ? is it the 24th or sooner ?

I want to order online or over phone

lol they havent released the PAYG pricing so why did they add simplicity to the tariff table ??? This is just so silly. Personally i dont think it's o2s fault. They dont want to promise anything until they know they can get enough handsets which at the moment doesn't look likely.

Guru Sarah is on the emails again.

Guru Sarah can bite my ass.

As soon as my O2 contract finishes in October I'm outta there.

Seems to me that giffgaff offer much better deals on monthly rolling contracts than O2 do. Plus you get money off for recommending people. The wife is on a simplicity contract at the moment, so I'll switch her over to giffgaff too and I'll get £5 credit for recommending her.

Slightly off-topic, but I've read that Tesco are selling £15 iTunes cards for £10. Anyone else confirm this? I want to get the TomTom app and this'll save quite a bit.
yes. I just bought 6 in the last hour from 2 different stores. I might well pop out and pick up another couple later today.

None of the Tesco checkout staff seem to know how to swipe the iTunes cards at the till though so be prepared to have to explain to them what to do. (They need to swipe the mag strip on the card in their till reader first, an then their screen should give them further instructions. If they just try to scan the barcode like any other item then it doesn't go through.)

People at HotUKDeals were reporting that the cards were scanning through the till at £10, instead of £15 as part of an offer however the offer wasn't advertised and price checking the card shows up at £15.

If the offer's still on, I could do with some iTunes goodness :)
Yep, mine scanned at £15 but I got charged £10.

Orange prices are better imo, as it gives more options at 18 months.. Plus data bundle is better

If those leaked Vodaphone prices were right, for the 32GB phone they're looking about £40 cheaper than 02 (with double the data) for the 300 minute contact on both 18 and 24 months...

and the Vodaphone prices work out to exactly the same as buying a phone from the applestore and adding the £15 simplicity contract
