Umm

18 x £30 + £209 = £749
24 x £25 + £279 = £879

Why would you sign up to a two year deal? Muppets :)

I was wondering this and if it's just a mistake... Did they get them the wrong way round? Normally the handset is cheaper if you take out a longer contract, right?

just to make it clear

friend spoke to the sales assistant at carphonewarehouse today and he said that the white iphone will be sold on launch. apparently apple, o2, orange etc will have them in stock. they won't be selling them on PAYG on launch but only for upgrade. and for those who have reserved their iphone 4 at apple, YES it will be there for you but you have till closing time to collect it. if you chose PAYG or PAY MONTHLY it doesn't matter because you'll get the option at the store to change. and when you're at it just ask for the white iphone =] no point calling them. they get 100s of calls a day asking about it and obviously they're getting annoyed so they're gonna tell you BS.

Having looked at the new o2 tariffs - Why on earth would someone NOT go for one of the simplicity tariffs?

Is there something I'm missing? As far as I knew, the only difference between a normal iPhone Pay monthly tariff and the simplicity ones is that you don't get visual voicemail???

I call BS on that. I'll bet they don't have any white ones on launch.

Never spotted this before, might have been there at the bottom of the o2 tariff table. So does this confirm existing Simplicity plans will change?

Sorry to post if already answered, a lot of pages to wade through!

Unlimited data on all smartphone tariffs is a promotion until 1 October 2010. Excessive usage policy and terms apply.

Price of the phone...As noted in the thread it's not available at usual pay monthly tariffs

I didn't like the white one at all at first, then I warmed towards it and now I think I'm leaning towards the black again. Ahh! I popped into o2 yesterday and was told that they will have the iphone 4 in white, but probably not on launch date.

This ****ing worries me. I have a bolt on with unlimited data and I'm wondering if o2 will cull our unlimited data too.

....because you still have to buy the iPhone at a cost of about £500 / £600

I'm not sure why people think that if Apple are saying the white is unavailable, that networks in the UK know more about it/will have it on launch. Its not as if Apple are gonna supply networks with them if they can't get them out to their own stores in the US and abroad!

Been covered a million billion times already, not applicable to existing tariffs. O2 have confirmed this...

"New and upgrading customers will continue to receive unlimited data as a promotion until 1 October. From that date, they will be able to buy additional data Bolt Ons which include 500MB for £5 or 1GB for £10 and O2 will ensure customers have the ability to easily monitor their use by sending them regular text messages.

All O2 customers will continue to receive unlimited Wi-Fi through The Cloud and BT Openzone hotspots.
Existing customers will continue under their present terms, unlimited data usage with an Excessive Use Policy.
Ronan Dunne concluded “By doing this, we are laying the foundation for a sustainable data experience for all customers and the huge possibilities that technology will create over the coming years.”

Good point!

Family & Friends Discount and O2 Open are not the same

This is true - the woman specifically asked me if I had Friends & Family or Open. Mine is Open. Open is corporate, F&F is an O2 and partner deal.

For F&F, you need the person who can get you the discount to be with you.

Are you sure? The tariff table issued today by O2 lists Simplicity tariffs as part of the Pay Monthly section and, therefore, I assume the phone prices apply to the whole table?

Btw, visual v/mail is included on Simplicity tariffs - I'm on one and I have it.

Ha, yeh! I'll be heading to o2 Cleveleys early doors :)

Haha probs see you there lol! Any idea what time they open? Hopefully doing cash orders lol. Never queued before always pre-ordered not sure what time to get there, i know exactly where I'm parking though lol.

They've said at least twice on their twitter page that the simplicity contract doesnt come with an iPhone

We're sure, and O2 have confirmed it on their Twitter.

It's just a terribly laid out table.
