Going to call 02 now to move to a simplicity plan.

I am currently spending 42.50 and not even using all of my mins and txt's. So £25 a month is great as I was planning on spending £5/600 on the phone anyway

But 02's constant **** signal in Wimbledon where I work and where I live in Luton has me second guessing. Vodafone & Orange are both better, but have limited data plans...

Ohh the choices!

Can anyone help me clarify my situation, basically I'm trying to find out when I'm likely to get hold of an iPhone 4 on contract with Orange.

I'm currently on a pay monthly contract with then (only network with a decent signal in my house) but I'm towards the end of that so I can upgrade my handset anytime (I spoke to Orange and they've confirmed that).

I want to go onto the £35/month package, which is £269 for the 32GB.

All Orange have said on the phone is to wait till next Thursday then order either online or on the phone (I doubt I'll be able to make it to an Orange store).

So it'll be sometime after the 24th when I get the phone if I'm only able to order it on the launch day.

I'm away on holiday from 10th July so really want to get the iPhone by then. What are my chances of that?

Cheers.

Hold, on, hold on...

Who is saying that O2 are not selling PAYG on launch? They did with the 3Gs. What's changed? Sources please!

it says on the O2 site itself on the tariff page:

'You may know this, but you don't need a monthly contract to get an iPhone. iPhone 4 will be coming soon to Pay & Go but it won't be available at launch. When we have more information on pricing we will let you know.'

sucks i know.

Can anyone help.

I have an CPW O2 Simplicity 30 day contract which cost me
£20 every 30 days, this gives me :-
(this is a loyalty package)
600 minutes
1200 texts
unlimited internet.

this is not an iPhone Simplicity contract I use this sim in my HTC HD2.

Question is if I buy an iPhone 4 will this sim (cut down to microsim) work or do I have to start again with a new iPhone Simplicity contract ?

O2 revealed handset prices!

I have just been talking to O2 about this as I asked for my PAC code from retentions and they are checking the prices. As she said the cost of the 24 month contract phone and the 18 month contract prices appear to be the wrong way around. She said if they change in the next few hours or early tomorrow then they were wrong otherwise they are correct.

Oh and requested PAC code just in case I wanted to swap.

Ok, so now o2 have released there prices I'm stuck over what to do.

My contract ends Dec 10. Here what I've worked out. My two options:

Upgrade:

Iphone 4 32bg -£209
Early Upgrade offer - £100
Sell white 3gs 32gb - £300ish

Total for me to pay £9.00

Two year contract to which I don't mind at £35 a month (which I don't inlcude in costs as I always want a contract)

Or buy payngo or sim free at £600 and sell 3gs for £300.00ish and spend like £300 quid but be out of contract in December and let it keep rolling or maybe switch to orange as they have better 3g service in area.

The main problem I have is that I want it on day of release. Everyone else agree that the first option is best? Or have a missed out a cost?

Im hoping to pick my handset up an my local O2 store on launch day.
