This is daft. Got my micro-sim from o2 this morning, however I can't order a phone either in store or on line.

Spoke to an Orange store and they are letting me pre-order a phone. I'm happy to pay a deposit.

So I've spoke to o2 again and asked for my pac code. There's only a tenner in the handset costs.

o2 sort your life out. You will be loosing a shed load of customers

Hey everyone, I've been away for a couple of days so haven't been able to catch up with the 1000+ posts since then!

I need some advice. I'm in the last 2 months of my Orange contract and am eligible for upgrade. I've reserved an iPhone 4 for pickup on the 24th and wanted to know if the upgrade process (renewing the contract, changing to a micro-SIM etc) can be done in-store on the day? If so, does this also mean that I'll be paying the subsidised price for the phone itself (i.e. £119 if i renew my contract and get a 24 month contract at £35/month)

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Another point is Vodafone could be losing potential customers if they dont hurry up with the prices!

If Orange call me back and I can pre order before Vodafones prices are out I'm going with Orange. If Vodafones prices come out before then and are competitive then I may hold fire and go with Vodafone.

I can't remember the last time I had this much choice with carriers

All the people thinking of going to Orange, i cant believe I'm the only one bothered by the fact that they don't offer unlimited texts in their 18 month tariffs? that coupled with the more expensive handsets, they can do one!!!

i really wanted to go with them because of their 3G coverage and Orange Wednesday's too.

I just checked and unfortunately SmartStamp is known not to work with it. But thanks all the same, it may be compatible in the future and I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Ah nightmare, no worries. I tried it with mp3tagger which isn't in the known working list, but it does work perfectly. So unless your app is explicitly known to not work, i'd give it a shot.

Does the software allow you to install Windows files from a downloaded .exe?

It does!

Hi all,

a colleague of mine has an Apple store reservation that he no longer wants and he's offered it to me. Can I take his confirmation email and use it to sign up with Vodafone/Orange at the Apple store on launch day? Or are they non-transferable?

Heads up on iTunes Gift Cards, I'm sure we'll see optimised apps and games soon after release so stock up.

Argos have 2x £15 for £20 in-store only, so Reserve and Collect online
Thanks for the tip. Just reserved myself 4. :D

Wow, nearly 7500 posts with just about every eventuality covered except one...

What if Eyjafjallajökul erupts again between now and 24th and all our iPhones are stuck in China?

They will already be in a bonded warehouse somewhere in the UK.

Regarding the Vodafone Pricing, were is the individual pricing for 16 and 32gb iphone 4?

edit nevermind :)

02 is the best for me, so im going 02!

So Vodafone's prices are up... and the handset prices and tariffs are THE SAME for all 3 major networks... price fixing anyone?;)

The only differences between the three are the monthly data allowances:

O2 offer 500mb (1GB for the higher monthly tarrifs)

Orange offer 750mb (they state unlimited data but FUP is 750mb)

Vodafone offer 1GB

Just to clarify: If I buy iPhone 4 sim-free from Apple store UK and it is delivered to me by someone to my country outside UK unactivated in sealed box... I will be able to put in my local carriers micro-sim and activate it outside UK? Is that correct? I mean it does not have to be activated in UK to use with any carrier later?
P.S. Sorry for the question...I don't know a lot about iPhones. :)

Thanks!
