So, it should work on T-Mobile in the UK right, if I cut the SIM?

Could someone please consider my post. I'm getting a bit frustrated/confused finding out from some people and some sites that Vodafone is better and from others that O2 is better.. :(

Can anybody tell me if Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile,... is better than O2 for the iPhone?

I've had a few problems over the past 1.5 years on O2 with my iPhone 3G. This includes late sms, dropped calls, incoming calls not showing up and just going straight to voicemail. The internet over 3G has also been rather slow at times. I live in central London, Zone 2.

Please help, I have to make a decision before picking up my iPhone 4 on thursday :)

i think this question has been asked before but i didn't see an answer.... so... if i collect my phone on the 24th from an apple store can i pick any contract with any provider there in the store??

also, how early are people planning on arriving?

Nope my brother's was one of the first I presume at 9.20 or whenever it would let us order but not prepared or my personal one at about 4pm. Some of the US ones have started so maybe tomorrow (Saturday).

Same, I ordered at 11 ish cuz the 16GB preordering wasnt working all morning, but still "Not shipped"...
Hopefully we should be seeing some movement tomorrow...

not o2

keep checking mine, ordered 8.53 GMT or when i log into the US order tracker says 1.53am PDT..........so i got a really really early order in lol, but still not changed status, sods law

Actually, O2's page says: "only existing O2 customers will be able to get an iPhone 4 from us."

This suggests that the existing customer rule only applies to O2 stores. I'd be surprised if that applies in an Apple Store, since their stock isn't part of O2 stock.

OK guys, I have an unconfirmed report that our iPhones may be on our way and departing China in just more than 3 hours. Bare in mind this is no direct flight and stops at various places in the US, if correct our iPhones should be in the UK by Monday, Tuesday at the very latest.

I'll update this as soon as I get off the Toilet.

Sent from my iPad.

Most iPhones are Fast Shipping (EMEA), those with only the iPhone, and why would the aircraft go to the US first?

My order is not yet shipped. Somehow it says I ordered mine at 6:03am on the 15th, are they going by US time zones?

edit. Yeah my order was PDT which is GMT-7 so 1pm makes sense.

Ok. I'll still be smiling. The only time I'll ever  is if my iPhone ships this coming week.

It won't be delivered before the 23rd, now if there are problems with so many packages  then we are looking at both the 23rd and the 24th to deliver but probable 24th if they are held back.

I'm wondering if I'll be able to get an iPhone next Thursday seeing as O2 have said they won't be doing PAYG at launch. I want to do the O2 simplicity for 12m, but I take it I now won't be able to do this will I?! :(

No you will have to buy Sim-free from Apple if you want it on Launch Day.

iPhone 4 UK pre-order

Hey all this is my first time posting on here :)

ok so to the point here in the UK most of us should get are iPhone 4 if pre-ordered from apple online store on June 24th or if your lucky June 23rd. as when I pre-ordered my iPad 3G from the online store I got it a day before. I got my 32GB black iPhone 4 pre-ordered on June 15th at 8:22AM so right after the store went back up. so I will be getting my one on OR before June 24th :)

so just shareing that with you all.

I'm picking my reserved iPhone from Apple Store Westfield London on Thursday. I'm planning on updating my O2 contract. Hope I can still do that???

Yes you can.

As for Flight Tracking Update, I think we have narrowed the flight down from Hong Hong to Liege.

Route: From (HKG) Hong Kong, HK to (LGG) Liege, BE
Duration: 12h 05m
Equipment: Boeing 747-400 Freighter (Scheduled)
Arrival 4.05PM
TNT Airways
That is the plane we are looking at, a Cargo one that is the same as the one that shipped the iPads.

However, I may be completely wrong and this is completely a different plane  But this is the only plane from HK to Liege all week. From Liege it will make it's way through various locations in Europe, to Arnhem (Holland) sometimes Athens, and finally to Staffordshire or thereabouts.

I am probably wrong as none of the UK people have had Prepared for Shipment, and as the plane leaves in less than 3 hours, it's probably wrong.
