No word on Orange Micro-SIMs i take it then...?

if you're on pay monthly/sim only.....just phone them and ask, i phoned them wednesday, got it saturday.....transferred number....easy as that.......i know some people have struggled....but just try to get someone who knows what they're on about.

Any idea how to ring orange as i'm not a customer at the moment and when I try to call CS the automated answer won't let me get to speak with someone as I currently don't have an orange number

Has anyone else had a call from someone claiming to be from o2 saying you can have a phone on the day? the guy on the line didn't sound right to me, he knew my name and phone number and asked my password... I asked if there was a number I could call back on and he said no! so I hung up. He said he was calling as I had registered interest, which I had. Have I just lost my chance to reserve one?

Just phoned now, they said if you've reserved one at the Apple Store, they'll sort out contract upgrades/renewals in-store and give you a new micro-SIM. I got the same response from the Apple store where I've pre-ordered so I reckon I'll just wait till Thurs and hopefully they do actually give me one. It just worries me that people are getting them now and I don't wanna be queuing up for ages and find that they don't provide you with the micro-SIM in the end!

you did the right thing really.... does sound odd that they would ask for your password

are phones 4 u or carphone warehouse stocking just the phone on release day? I'm already on an o2 simplicity contract and want to keep that one.

Also, are they taking reservations?

Hi guys, I really want a white phone and I think that apple (like the 3g launch) will be the only people to get them due to limited supplies (also O2 have confirmed they wont stock them at launch so I reckon CPW won't either).

I'm bringing my girlfriend along with me to line up at apple store.

The scenarios are these:

1) I line up in unreserved, they let reserved people change to white iphones, I miss out on white iphone

2) I line up in reserved, they don't let you change reservation, i get sent back to back of unreserved and miss out on white iphone

3) I line up in reserved, they let you change, I get white iphone

4) I line up in unreserved, they don't let people change, I'm first in line and I get white iphone.

Which do you think is most likely or I should do?

And also, if I line up in reserved and my girlfriend lines up in unreserved (at the very front - I will get up as early as it takes) do you think people will be pissed if I just swap places with her if they tell me only people in unreserved line can get the white phone?

Just had a call from o2..

O2 delivering my iPhone on Thursday via DHL.

Getting sorted out for being a Gold customer.

Nice one.

I just got a call from O2 saying because I was a brown customer, they're sending my iPhone 4 on Thursday via the sewer system. I've to sit on my toilet pan reading a book until 12midday and it'll make an appearance.

Please, stop with the fake "O2 are sending me an iPhone 4 on Thursday emails because I'm special" posts - we went through this earlier, and we're certainly not going to believe someone who has posted a grand total of two posts on the forum.

Installing IOs4 on 3g Now

I have downloaded IOs4 and am almost finished installing it on my old Iphone 3g, it takes ages to install

Still struggling to keep up with the thread since it went over 9000!

Is it fair to say that the past 900 posts have been a mix of the usual frequently asked questions combined with general speculation and not much coherent information from the UK networks?

My plan is to still pick up two iPhones on Thursday. I guess this will have to be done at Orange, CPW or P4U.

It's a con - they're from a company in Germany. Ignore it. O2 are NOT phoning people up and giving them priority.

5) Everybody gets Black

In the event that there are White available, then I'm sure that Apple will let you change to a White one.

I already have my Iphone 4

I am a Titanium customer on O2, so I already have my Iphone 4, in fact I got it before Steve Jobs, I can't wait for Thursday as I have pre ordered the Iphone 4GXL with go faster stripes.:)

my apprentice had this earlier!!!!!

they had access to his account and everything, gave him his contract end date etc..... im sure its legit guys

Oh..! I have got the number he called from so I will give it a ring back and see I guess.
Do you know which number called your friend? was it 08458630285?

Can't get IOS4 to install

Itunes keeps locking up at the very last part of the restore, twice now, very frustrating:mad:

yep, its that or very very similar, i answered it because he was scared to answer it :D

try ringing them back man..... ask them to confirm when your contract is up or other things if itll make you feel better :)

iphone 4 wooooooooooooooooooooo

I love the cynicism here. O2 are ringing people. Check Jon Honeyball's Twitter. He's a pc pro writer, no reason to bs.
