Haha I do love a bit of phones4u! Thats true, I just need some hope that I'm going to get one! I'm thinking get there around 8AM (store opens at 10AM) and then I reckon things will be good. It seems most people hate Phones4u and I'm hopefully going to capitalise on that lol!
Has anyone else had a call from someone claiming to be from o2 saying you can have a phone on the day? the guy on the line didn't sound right to me, he knew my name and phone number and asked my password... I asked if there was a number I could call back on and he said no! so I hung up. He said he was calling as I had registered interest, which I had. Have I just lost my chance to reserve one?

The manager of the store Middlesbrough in Middlesbrough said they have asked for 100k units and reckon that they will get 60k, which i think won't happen. However, he mentioned that the amount of iPhones that they stock will depend on the amount of pre orders in each store. With Phones4U you never know what to believe but we will see on Thursday.
Why am I getting the feeling that 6.30am for a 9am opening in Southampton isn't going to be early enough?
I hate Phones4U as well but if they guarantee me an iPhone (Manager will ring me on Wednesday) then I will love them long time!
He said they will probably open about 8am.
Also, they are ringing all the people who pre ordered and arranging times for them to come and collect their iPhone which is good because then there will be no queues etc. Every member of staff will be working as well so approx 12 people sorting contracts out. Should be good.

What the deal with all the apple stores being open at 8am on thursday AND Friday? I don't see the benefit for them...?

I spoke to the apple store and they said they open at 8 as does the actual bentall centre, so i guess we will have to wait outside
Well, I'd guess that if they sold out on Thursday they wouldn't bother opening early on Friday...

I'm planning on getting there about 7.30ish. I'll basically be getting up at the time I usually do but going in the other direction to Kingston. Apple suggested waiting at the main door.

Depends if you have reserved or not. I have a sinking feeling that all the hype and anxiety on this thread has rubbed off on me and is driving the time I'll head down to the store earlier and earlier!
