The only reason I got into the second batch was due to the horrendous issue trying to make the order. I spent 2 hours trying to pre-order

I feel your pain. I just sat at my desk smashing away at the same keystrokes, thank goodness I managed an early-bird order for delivery on 24th. I just managed to break my old phone screen too, so kinda' in a hurry for a working phone

So do I need to get myself a micro sim before I go to Apple on Thursday morning? Or can i expect them to have them there?

They will have them there, I rang Apple today and said that I would just be buying a SIM free iPhone without the contract and that I currently have a full size SIM card and asked what would happen, they said that they would just transfer me over to a new Micro SIM in-store and I would just keep on going with my previous contract

I definitely won't be the first to hold an iPhone 4 at the establishment.

Hi. does anyone know if you're interested in buying an iphone 4 on PAYG from orange, do you have to put a deposit or..?

thanks

The panic is being caused by people who seriously believe that Apple would sell a customers phone which the have RESERVED.

How do you think a customer who queues up for hours to be told 'Sorry, your RESERVED iPhone has been sold to some random Tom, Dick or Harry because your RESERVATION actually meant diddily squat.' Would react?

I don't think Apple would really want to put themselves through it.

I know all Apple stores are saying if you've reserved one you'll have one BUT remember every reservation email has the line in it

"Pre-authorization does not guarantee iPhone availability at an Apple Retail Store. iPhone is sold on a first-come, first-served basis"

so prob best to lay off the big letters as Apple are within their rights to not give you your new iPhone 4 even with a reservation

I know you did but throughout this thread you have littered it with letting people know you go to Oxford University. Well done, and what year are you in.

Does stating your location as "Oxford University" really count as "littering" a thread??

FWIW the university you've gone to doesn't have that much of an impact anymore - it's your grade that counts the most.

You haven't realised that people who go to Oxford are usually very pretentious?

He doesn't need proof its just simple knowledge, :D,

You haven't realised that people who go to Oxford are usually very pretentious?

I only wanted to know, its the model I originally wanted until the delay, just wanted to see if it was actually true, my 3GS is a White model and it doesn't get dirty.
I sure have realised that people who go to Oxford are very pretentious.

Do you guys think that I would need to get to an Orange store well before the store opens to get my hands on an Orange PAYG iPhone 4?

My local stores open at 7am and 8am, there both literally 1 minute away from each other (one inside shopping centre and one just outside on the high street)

Much appreciated

Reading? ;)

The iPhone 4s are in the UK already.

They can be dispatched on Wednesday night and reach everyone on Thursday.

Whilst like you I hope we get shipping notices by tomorrow it is not in any way a sign we won't get them on Thursday.

Apple won't mess it up. They always deliver preorders on the dates they say.

how you know its in the UK?
