I took a print out of my preorder to the local o2 store in milton keynes and that is all they needed to give me a microsim.

No adapter though!

Thats a pain, I wanted to transfer today and use in my old phone. Never mind as long as I get one! Thanks.

Yes but everyone who was trolling the member who first posted about O2 phoning Platinum members and offering them iPhone4s is now having to eat humble pie since it turned out she was right - she wasn't lying and it wasn't a scam. Not seen anyone apologising yet...

I'll admit I was wrong, but come on - the fact it was from a number which *seemed* to be a hoax and the fact there was only one account of it, it didn't appear to be a watertight story
Even so... The Facejacker comment was quality :) and it was jokes at the time

I asked where the iPhone was shipping from she said the hub in holland, true or not i don't know she seemed to take a few moments to find out. And no I don't have a screen shot it was a phone call.

As far as I'm aware, UK gets all products sent from a hub in Holland. Cork only holds a factory for custom built Mac Pros and home to Applecare. Paperwork is sent from there aswell.

Another hub is around Northampton which I recall seeing in on a previous order last year.

End of the day, we don't know where they are until it's shipped and we can track it

you don't need an adaptor to use it today. it comes inside a normal sized sim, which you snap it out of when you want to use the micro sim. obviously this is a one time deal, so you need an adaptor if you want to put it back in another phone. i've not got an adaptor and i'm using the new sim

hopefully thats clear!

Sorry, didn't get onto this thread for a day or so, has anyone had any success getting a micro sim? I plan to go to my local O2 store today. Anything I need to take? My apple reservation confirmation?

I picked mine up the other day from the O2 store. I had to call around though to find out who had them in stock

PAYG Swap

Has anyone successfully managed to swap their PAYG sim over yet? Went through the process yesterday but old sim still working :( Someone on the o2 forum said that PAYG won't swap!

I am from Northampton wonder if I can go and pick it up lol

that isn't a problem. the micro-sim is actuall embedded into a full size sim. so you can go ahead and activate it and keep using it in your current phone. once you've got your ip4, you'll just need to pop it out of 'it's large sim frame' and then you're all set. this is what i am doing - my un-popped microsim is currently in my touch diamond. :)

Absolutely! I've read every single page and post of this thread and have been following it with (unhealthy) interest. I thought everyone was quite rude to that girl yesterday. As if it would be IMPOSSIBLE that O2 would call high value customers to offer them upgrades! They're openly reserving them specially for customers so why not? Think there was a little bit of iPhone envy going on yesterday and a few apologies wouldn't go amis.

Thats perfect thanks, I thought they snapped out and that was it, wasn't sure if it was the ones someone posted a pic of earlier in the thread that you can snap out as a normal sze sim, then snap out as a micro sim when you need it. Will wander up there at lunch!

My update

I received my Micro Sim this morning in the post from o2. I registered my interest on their website on the first day. I have gone through the online process to swap sims. Just waiting for the transfer to complete. Says it can take 24 hours. Will be glad to get it done before thursday (fingers crossed) - i imagine o2's system will most definately crash early doors.

I am putting my new Micro Sim (not broken out of Frame) into my LG cheap phone (as i recycled my 3GS). Hope this works ok.

I recieved an adapter (black frame) with my letter. This will be helpful if i dont want to take my iphone 4 on holiday or on a night out etc.

Agree 110%

I didn't comment on what she said but I didn't think it was out of the ordinary for someone to be offered it if they are a high value customer... especially seeing as O2 are taking the loyalty side of things with only offering iPhone 4 to existing customers.

As I say I didnt comment but I didn't know if she was right or wrong so kept out of it instead of jumping to (incorrect) conclusions.

iPhone 4 not dispatched yet!

My iPhone 4 delivery from Apple still says: Not yet shipped: delivers June 24

Does anyone else still have that?

any of you guys queue up for the 3GS launch?

if i turn up at an O2 shop in central london at 7.30, reckon i'll get lucky?

cant be bothered to queue from midnight or anything.

Took about 30 seconds for my sim swap

This is one for newbies..

1. Has anyone's order status changed? No
2. What proof do I need to get a microsim from an o2 store? Preorder or Reservation print out
3. Is the iPhone 4 on contract unlocked? Unconfirmed
4. Is the iPhone 4 on Pay and Go unlocked? No
5. When will I get my iPhone? When it is delivered so stop whining!
6. Can you get the iPhone in white on launch day? Highly unlikely

Simples!

hey, you didn't answer my questions :)

Quite a few posts yesterday like "woo-hoo, just got my MicroSIM!", but unfortunately people didn't say if they got them though the post or from an O2 Store, and how/when they had ordered them.

Just spoke to my local O2 Store, and they confirmed I need to bring my Apple order confirmation along.

i got my micro sim yesterday through the post. I assume it's because I registered an interest on the o2 iphone 4 page when it first came up. If you did that you should receive one.
