Sorry to get back to the "Prepared to ship" topic but it might reassure a lot of you who haven't had it yet.
I was one of the last to pre-order at 8.24PM and it's now prepared to ship on the US site.
Shortly after I pre-ordered mine, they changed the delivery date to 2nd July on the Apple Store, but looks like i'll be getting it Thursday.

hmmm, this doesn't reassure me. i thought i was close to last at 6:30pm, but still not shipped. oh well. i'm confident i'l get it thursday, and if not then no big deal, as long as i get it at some point... i suspect that not just the amount of orders to be packed, but physically changed on their system, will take some time, automated or not.

Apple ID password, surely?

Not to track individual orders! The security of the Apple order pages is a bit dodgy, I once emailed my order status page (not just the link) to a friend to show him something I'd just ordered and he was able to cancel the order from that page!

I hope there is a selection of cases available for the iPhone4 at the apple stores on Thursday, not keen on the bumper. Can anyone confirm?

For O2 Stores:

today in store i was told, Milton Keynes has 35 iPhone 4 handsets and Oxford Street in london is only gettin 250.

Enjoy the rush, what silly people not pre-ordering direct from apple, lolz

only seen the bumpers officially on the site which are not even available on launch so could be without something initially..... have a google for iPhone 4 cases see what comes up

Unsure if this is old news or not but I have just managed to reserve my iPhone 4 at my local 3 store.

I seen an internal memo which clearly states that 3 will have no stock for around 2 - 3 weeks as Apple cannot supply it, but it also stated that their iPhone tariffs will be released on Thursday!

However, staff do know the tarrifs, everything unlimited on one of them for under £45 a month, with free 16GB was being thrown around.

But there are a lot more o2 stores then Apple Stores.

I'm expecting a few months wait for Three.

After all, when Three say coming soon, do expect to wait sometime.

Hi there,
I have reserved my iphone in the apple store. Does anyone know if they are able to activate and swap my number on to the micro sim that they give me?

iPhone4 Activation

Hi, been reading this thread alot recently the wait till Thursday is killing me!

Anyway, I'm (hopefully) picking up a phone from O2 on Thursday morning (I think I'll be queing pretty early!) but will have to go straight to work afterwards. Is it ok to activate the phone using the iTunes on my work computer, which I never use with my current iPhone, or am I best to wait till I get home in the evening to activate it using my laptop and restore the backup from my 3G all in one go.

A mate of mine said there might be some migration issues
Thanks for any advice
:)

I don't think they do know the tarrifs. If that were a true tarrif why keep it quiet? I think Three's tactics in this whole debacle are getting pretty deplorable. They should have the guts to post their tarrifs even if they won't have the phone for a few weeks, so we can make informed decisions instead of rushing on Thursday.

They'll lose customers if they're not careful, I was thinking of swappping to them, but reading the comments they are allowing to be posted on their blog, looks like they don't care for many of their customers. Better the devil you know.

You can activate on your work computer but you wont have any of your contacts, emails, apps etc

Stock!!!!

Right, I work for CPW in a smallish shop in a market town. We are not expecting ANY iPhone 4's!!!!!! Also staff are not allowed to purchase so I went to the local o2 and orange shop. Orange are only getting 1 16gb and 1 32gb in stock and o2 wouldn't give exact number but they are getting few!

Considering these facts I would be getting to the network store very early! and if I had a pre-order with Phones4u I would be seriously worried as they are quite low down the food chain compared with the other stores. :(

Only the top 100 stores are likely to get a reasonable amount of stock (think 20-30!)

Also it's been confirmed that CPW will also only be doing upgrades for o2 not new connections.
