Yeah I'm sure it was legit but just made me chuckle.

I checked myo2 and there was only one month this year where I was under 500MB... im generally 600-700MB this year though did hit 800+ the one month.

Not sure how much data I used in 09 but I'd guess similar amounts.

I'd say I was a heavy user but nothing excessive.... mostly falls within Orange and Voda give you and well with in the fair use of what O2 did have.

Wow that is a fair bit of usage. Unfortunately the data part of myO2 doesn't work for me so I just have to go by how much data my phone's consumed since I bought it. Funnily enough, my fiancée was more upset about the data limits - until I checked her phone and saw that she'd used 600MB... in about 19 months.

o2 etc customer friendly

Nice to see networks this year doing all they can to sign us up for the new iPhone! remember last year when they used words like "buy out contract" not this year!
just wait till iPhone 5 next year
two year contract anyone?

Orange is taking pre-orders!

Orange UK is taking orders for iPhone upgrades via 150 from Orange phones. They are not advertising this on their website and haven't sent out the pre-registered emails yet.

I have just ordered my iPhone from them and I have had all the confirmation texts through too! They have estimated delivery for 24th June 2010!

The payment for the phone has also been taken from my credit card!

just called orange in welwyn garden city, enquired about white iPhone4, only white iPhones are 32gb in stock, SWEET!:D

Sorry if this has been asked...

Can someone please explain to me.....

The o2 website says:

“Purchase your new iPhone 4 from O2 (on sale from 24 June). When you get your new iPhone 4 you'll receive a new micro sim with it.

Your new micro sim won't be active yet. Ensure that the latest version of iTunes is installed on your PC or Mac. You can then connect your new iPhone 4 to iTunes and activate. Once your iPhone 4 has been activated by iTunes, request to swap from your old sim to your new micro sim.”

My problem is this though, I’m getting it from the Apple shop. I’m transferring my existing contract over to my new sim and selling my 3G S. Even though it’s sim free with they still provide me with an o2 microsim to do the above?

This is all very confusing.

You need to go to an O2 shop to get a micro SIM. If you take confirmation of your reservation they will give you one today, and you can transfer your account to the new SIM in advance. If you can't do that today, take your new iPhone to an O2 shop tomorrow and they will give you one then. It is possible Apple will give you a SIM to transfer over to when you get the phone, but this has not been confirmed.

ANyone know about the dhl shipments with o2?

I have a tracking number but it does not register on their website.

Wish they would give early upgrades as then i would stay with them :(

I'm suprised with the speed (or lack of) O2 3G network you ever managed to get to over 500MB. I gave up with O2 for the iPad and went to 3. I some how think the 500mb capping is qoing to be problem with O2 until they update their network of course!

oh there is a moral... buy locks for your sheds so drivers can't leave stuff in them. Mind you, that's not stopped him before either.. as he's left stuff at my back door before now.

I've had a courier leave a £1000 digital camera in my wheelie-bin, the day before bin day. I only know because I happened to see him out the window. It was raining hard, so apparently he couldn't be bothered to walk the 3 metres to the door and ring the bell.

Anyway, enough horror stories! I've now got a dilemma: my repaired MacBook Pro is at the local Apple store waiting to be picked up. They're not doing Genius Bar tomorrow or Friday for obvious reasons, but will let me pick it up. So, do I risk missing an incredibly unlikely UPS delivery today; wait for UPS tomorrow and then go pick up the MBP once the shiny new toy arrives; or leave it until Friday!

I went to my local O2 store yesterday to get a Micro-SIM ready and transfer over, but they didn't have any.

I reckon Apple stores will have O2 Micro-SIMs tomorrow (else how are they going to setup new contracts!) but I'm not sure whether they'll just give me one to then transfer over on to.
If they don't I'll just go to the O2 store then on my way to work (O2 is 5 shops along from the Apple store!) and see if they've got any in yet!

Ye, whats up with that!? I can understand the highlands of scotland taking longer but im less than an hour and a halfs drive away from nuneaton where the iphones are apparently at (Shrewsbury here).

*update* my estimated delivery date has changed to the 24th on apples site now

Still says 25th for me :(

Ive got one from an o2 store today. Bring confirmation that you have bought a phone and DONT say you have pre-registered for one or they wont give you 'another' one.

My guess is that O2 are hoping that most medium to heavy to abusive mobile internet users will move to other networks. The iPhone's probably O2's biggest data hog by a long way and they've got way more iPhone customers than anyone else (probably everyone else combined several times over).

I'm going to the Bentall Centre Kingston store tomorrow and may possibly have reserved a black 32gb that might be going spare as of an hour ago. I'm going to pay cash for it sim free and thought about selling it to desperate strangers in the queue for a drink on top cos I could be waiting hours and I could be doing jobs instead.

I would rather do a deal with one of you lot than a stranger with even less in common so if anyone is interested pm me with your mobile and I'll call you - you will need cash and be in Kingston when I am. To make it more of a kerfuddle I won't know specifically what time I'll be getting there till about 8:30 am tomorrow thanks to work

Do you have any neighbours that you trust and are in? If yes then leave a note on your door saying something along the lines of "in case of delivery please take to ..."

Despite what people have been told (and repeated) earlier in the thread, having just walked past the Apple Store in Glasgow I can confirm that there is no queue forming yet.

The barriers have arrived, although they are not yet set up, but no one is queuing - at least not outside.

I've just been to my local CPW store, Wakefield, The Ridings Shopping Centre. They have 4 iPhones in stock, 3 16GB models and 1 32GB model, they are opening at 8 tomorrow, (The O2 shop downstairs isn't opening till 9) and are apparently expecting more to come in stock tomorrow. He showed me the phones and I soooo wanted him to do it all for me today, but no the system wouldn't let him, even if he could. Oh an O2 early upgraded can be done in store, they where notified of all the info yesterday.

Yeah? Good news hopefully for the Apple Stores! My best bet is that they will have them in stock, just not as many as thought. Apple haven't said no white iPhones, just no pre-orders (unless I've missed something!)

But anyways, my heart was set on white, now I'm OK with black.

Yes, I phoned Tesco Mobile and they say that they don't know anything about the iPhone 4 yet.

Perhaps it's a leak though.

I phoned Tesco Mobile about 10 minutes ago, they told me it would be on sale from 9am tomorrow on the Tesco Mobile site (i assume she meant for pay-as-you-go as the 3GS never sold on contract through the website) and the Tesco Mobile telesales. She also said that Tesco stores with Phone Shops within them (usually Tesco Extra stores) would have limited stock which they would begin selling from 9am.

(Though Tesco stores are often open 24hrs you can't buy it from midnight, have to wait until 9am, i did ask)

Also, this thread on another website has a pretty genuine looking screenshot of the tariffs here which confirm the details that were released earlier to some websites.

I've just come off the phone to my local Extra store and another Tesco phone shop.

Apparently all Tesco phone shops will have the iPhone 4. However the ones closest to me are only going to sell on CONTRACT on launch day - no PAYG.

This means that I'll be going to Orange on launch day.

This doesn't work with Apple deliveries. I did this with my iPad and they took it back to the depot and left a note saying "cannot leave with neighbour" or similar. But he did come back same day and deliver.

Incidentally, someone on another forum called 0800 022 4030 and was told that Tesco prices ARE legit?

Hmmm... not sure that would work. I think I'll just assume it's not coming today. Even if it does, then a redelivery for tomorrow will be slightly disappointing, but not a disaster. I mean, tomorrow is the date it's _meant_ to arrive, anyway.
