Not long guys and gals!

I think we might be the first people in the north to be queuing at an Apple store? Been here since lunchtime at Meadowhall Sheffield.

How long is the queue are you the only ones there. Also won't security chuck you out once the centre closes.

Nope, 4G is LTE

HSPDA is what EDGE was to GPRS. It's an enhanced version. Some people call HSDPA 3.5G or 3G+.

LTE is NOT 4G it is technically 3.9G the last itteration of 3G technology, 4G does not exist yet, it is only the networks (because it sounds good) and incorrect media that are calling it 4G.

forget 02, orange, voda, 3, tesco, t mobile, its all about giffgaff

Just received my GG sims today...... I dont quite understand the packages though!

When you buy the £10 package do you get 100 minutes/unlimited texts/unlimited 3g and £10 credit?

Also, i noticed that they are withdrawing the free internet soon???

For those that live in my neck of the woods, a mate of mine is a manager at a local CPW, he texted me this afternoon to say there would be no stock in any CPW stores in the East of England. I've no reason to doubt him either

Yep, that's what I heard. Maybe we have the same mate ;)

so is HSPDA actually active on the iphone 4 and on all the UK carriers?

yes HSDPA has been on all the networks for ages, it has been apple that has been slow because it can only now support 7.2MBs but only voda and some 3 mobile masts are activated for the 7.2MBs all the other networks are still max 3.6MBs

There is no sim adapter in it. Once i snap it out it's knackered.

Don't snap the microsim out, just the larger sim that it's sitting in. Pop that in your current phone once you've done the swapmysim stuff and your old sim has gone dead, and then when you get your iPhone 4 and you're ready to make the switch, pop the microsim out of the larger piece.

Concerning the discrepancy over internet allowance on Tesco mobile:

I just gave Tesco Mobile a call and was told that the 500mb fair usage policy is incorrect and is in the process of being changed.

So Tesco are really offering 1GB of 3G internet! :D

Getting a bit worried now that mine still says 'billing information received' with only an hour to go. I hope it still gets delivered early tomorrow as I only took the morning off.

Mine's hit "In Transit - On Time"
It was scanned in Tamworth. It definitely should arrive for me tomorrow :)
It was scanned at 17:08 it says. Hopefully you guy's should get scanned into their system too!

how long is the TNT tracking number and what does it start with?

To find your consignment no. log into your Apple account via the US Apple store and you'll find a 9 digit tracking # in the gray bar of the site under the "shipped on:". Use that to track your phone in the international section on the TNT homepage.

I'd use that over the tracking no. because if you call them TNT they'll ask for it rather than the tracking no.
