...Its the reason why I and many others couldn't use one with Simplicity or standard contract!

I'm not sure i understand this, clarify. According to O2 the only PAYG SIMs that exist are iPad ones...and they're already pre-registered so you cant swap them.

So it's an iOS4 issue and not a phone design problem? In which case it can be fixed with a software update?

I'd say it's more of a design problem. When they said the aerial was part of the case, I thought nah. They must have tested it to death. An aerial is a tuned circuit. Grab hold of it and you change the frequency it's tuned to. These silly bumper cases might be more operational than aesthetic. If it cures it, I want a free one.

Hey Guys,

Don't flame me please, first time poster long time reader ;). I've tried searching this monstrous thread for an answer but no joy.

Ok, so I went into my local O2 Shop and I showed the guy my pre-order email, he took it, went to into the back of the shop and then came out with my Micro Sim. All good so far but when I got home I realised it said "Pay Monthly and Business" on it *face palm*.

So I guess this Micro Sim won't work on my iPhone thats coming in tomorrow, right?

Cheers

Well, its an empty sim card. So I take it you don't have any previous o2 pay and go/ pay monthly number to transfer from?

defeats the reason of having a purpose built antenna case?

They could've just made the top part of the bezel the antenna component and leave the rest of the body alone. but we'll see if/how they fix it.

As i've noted earlier..... im on o2 payandgo and a monthly ms and ipad ms didnt work. Only option is to cut it down, which i am going to do now!:(

I understand your dilemma, its the same as mine. Its the OP's assertion that O2 have PAYG microsims i don't understand

I have a Pay and Go number, from my iPhone 3G, that I could transfer from, assuming I can transfer my Pay and Go number to it.

Did anyone else pre-order in an Orange shop? I preordered a PAYG Orange white iPhone 4 on Monday, got a slip that says collection date is tomorrow, they filled in details took phone number, address, contract type, checked ID, etc. but now the news that white iPhones aren't making it out until July is out and I'm really confused as to what will happen tomorrow!

I like the Tesco 12mth contract too - does anyone know if it's only the Phone store Tescos that are carrying them, or if all Tesco Extra stores will have some stock?

This is what's confusing to me; I asked if I could collect in store, she said yes, wrote her name and the store number on my form, and collection date 24/6/10!

GUYS im not on O2 at the moment, but i've preordered my iphone from apple sim-free.
If i go O2 tomorrow, will they give me a PAYASYOUGO micro-sim?
I dont understand, some posts say they will, others say they won't.

More importantly, will any network give me (a new customer) a pay as you go sim so i can activate and use my phone tomorrow.
