Just spoke to O2.

I'm, an existing Pay Monthly customer wanting to upgrade, but cheesed off that they insist I go in store (i.e. waste my time) until they get stock.

The first person I spoke said I wasn't eligible for an online upgrade (not a 'Platinum' customer) and I would have to go in store. I pointed out that I could do the same for any other network, and there was no reward for loyalty. I spoke to a manager, who was equally unprepared to help.

There was no interest in keeping my business, so I'll oblige them and move on. I've requested my PAC code and I'll get a new phone from the first network that shows interest in my business - with O2 back of the queue.

exactly, screw o2 ive left them with a month left on my contract and went for a sim only Voda contract with £100 cashback from quidco

I just went to try and switch my number on to the new micro SIM from o2 on their website, but my old iPhone 3Gs is displaying "No Service", so I can't receive the text they send. I put the micro-sim in the new iPhone 4 and it says "Waiting for activiation". Does this mean the number has automatically been transferred, but its still processing it? Or what?

Thanks

I know a lot of people say O2 are a great help and stuff but I find when they want to be annoying they don't just do it half heartedly. They can really get you going.

Hi all first post,

Ordered my phone (32gb black) within a half an hour of the pre-orders going live.

What i am wanting to know is if anyone here in the forums is from northern ireland and got their apple.com/uk preorders yet. I know they said it could take longer. But there is no excuse for keeping the estmaed delivery date at 24th untill today (the 24th) and then changing it to the 29th.

Honestly i am gona drop a ******** nuclear b*mb on apple if it doesnt arrive till next week. Its a really *****y sales tactic to change dates on the day it should have been delivered.

And what worries me more is that my card hasnt even been charged for it. However the website has said it has been posted and is with TNT.

I hope someone can shed some light....

End rant.

Come on surely i cant only be the only one from northern ireland on this forum??!??!!

So mine is doing well - not noticed the reception blocking/grounding issue, but I can't get a data signal in my house, although Orange say that 3G coverage is excellent here. Anyone else experiencing odd reception issues? I can't even catch a whiff of EDGE, which is ok because I'm on WIFI here, but it is slightly concerning if I'm out and about.

I got strong 3G signal on the way home, so I know that it does work, but just not at my house. How's it for everyone else?

Anyone?

Sorry, not from Ireland, but mines was expected to deliver on the 28th, but it came today... I'm sure you'll get it sooner than stated.

So, I went to orange today to try and get a sim for the phone. And I'm a little confused, cause after checking out many different phone shops in Glasgow, most of them told me that orange isn't expecting to get a PAYG micro sim for the iPhone 4???? One however told me they'd have some available tomorrow, can anyone confirm any of this?

Has anyone managed to get a Tmobile sim working?

The phone is just not reading it!

Mine working..initially it weren't but i kinda bent the sim inwards for the phone to get a better contact and it's been working since.

Activation took half an hour.

I created a voda, orange and tmobile microsims. It's kinda simple once you get the hang of it.

Good luck

great :\
do you know if its a person or a computer?
i ask because i mean is there is chance it could be done now?

Bit of both, assuming you did it in store, that person sends off a request to activate then it hits O2's systems and the activation is sent out.

There's always the chance to be fair, best advice, leave the phone off and check every hour. If no activation after 12 hours, might be worth checking with customer services they've sent it out.

Bloke at o2 huddersfield told me 2-20 hours.

Syncing with itunes
"waiting for activation, this may take some time"

Credit to 02 at The Gyle shopping centre in Edinburgh - I was say number 30 in the queue (they opened at 9.30 I got there about 8.30) and they kept us updated on whether our preference would be in stock - which it was - I'm now the owner of a 16GB black

So I have a long yellow band across the bottom of my screen

Does anyone believe this stuff about it fixing itself when bonding glue dries? I imagine the Apple store won't have stock to swap it for me now?
