So I have a long yellow band across the bottom of my screen

Does anyone believe this stuff about it fixing itself when bonding glue dries? I imagine the Apple store won't have stock to swap it for me now?

Mine looks to be slowly getting better but its hard to tell as its not there when its been of for awhile.

Question for you guys?:

Bought iphone 4 and cannot get mms sent to my fone, pls let me know if anyone knows the problem.

cheers, could be somthing simple but thanks.

Broken home button

Delivered this afternoon, but the home button works intermittently at best. :( Called Apple, a few minutes hanging, half an hour of trying resets and the like, but the outcome is a replacement from Kingston on Monday. Could have been worse I guess.

You need to send one first to activate MMS on your account, I believe.

I've been waiting since 1:00pm which means I've been waiting for almost 6 hours and nothing, not a sausage...

O2 I am not happy!!!!

I've been waiting since 11:15 now. :( I had a look at my new iPhone and it said "Waiting for activation". I plugged it in to my Mac and synced it again and iTunes said that there was a new carrier file thingy for my phone so I installed that. The sim's still not live. We just picked up my fiancée's phone and I'm syncing it for her now. Chances are hers will end up working before mine somehow!!

dont know if anyone else has reported this but i've missed the last 50 or so pages as i've had a new toy to play with. :)

but anyone else noticed when the sun shines on the screen you get a rainbow effect across the screen?

Yawn.

If O2 are reading, transferring me over to my MicroSIM would be appreciated ;)
If Apple are reading, I haven't got a signal yet.... but if mine has the problem that it doesn't work when you hold it, it's coming straight back to you .

My friend got an iPhone with a yellow band near the bottom this morning, and he text me a few hours ago saying it’s almost gone..so I’d try the wait and see approach for now. :)

I'm in the same boat here! Been waiting since 1pm and still nothing. At least I know I'm not alone.

Yeah it seems to be a heat issue, ie when the phone becomes too hot from over use, the yellow re appears, but starts to fade when it cools down.

Well, I've got mine, and it's lovely. Unfortunately, my now butchered Orange PAYG SIM doesn't work - I'm guessing because it's not a 3G one.

Question: if I were to go to an O2 shop and ask to switch to them from Orange, would they give me a micro-SIM on PAYG?

Thanks that's good to hear. Worst case scenario is Apple will swap it I suppose. I will just be patient I suppose.

It's a shame really because this display is awesome.

Just to reiterate what someone said earlier:

If you're waiting on O2 to swap sims, try turning off both you new and old iPhones at the same time. I did, left for a few minutes, turned back on and my old 3G has no service which the 4 now has full signal. :)

Could of course be coincedence, but worth a shot.

Tesco have been a nightmare. I thought, what's the point in going instore at the crack of dawn, if I can order one online? Typical.

I've dialled their number about a thousand times today. Here's hoping that their goddamn server issue is resolved by tomorrow.

I even had to go into P4U at 1:30 to tell them I didn't want the 32gb iP4 they'd kindly reserved for me. Soul destroying! lol

mine took over 3 hours to activate. Unplug it from itunes, and restart the iphone about once every 15mins or so.

Popping the sim out then replacing it seemed to help a lot of people back when the 3G launched.

I love this new iPhone!! No probs with screen or signal loss! Well worth the cost of upgrading!
(purchased sim free from apple)

Third trip to the o2 store at 4.25pm after waiting all day for the UPS guy...... They were closed

Had to cut our sims down..... All working good now
