If I keep my current Simplicity plan does that mean i will continue to get my unlimited data and everything the same and should work fine in the iPhone 4?

Confused me now lol?

I will leave o2 if they try to change me to a 500mb data limit.

No more unlimited data :(

<Waves goodbye to O2>

On a more happy note, my launch day 32GB 3GS had a tiny crack by the dock connector.... went to :apple: at lunch and walked out with a nice new one :D

eGay time?

Forgot to say... in chit-chat with the Genius we were discussing the iPhone 4. He of-course didn't know pricing, but reckoned it'd be the same as 3GS as "There's no way Apple could justify it".

I am personally not bothered by the 500mb limit, I just checked the usage on my iphone and the last time I reset the statistics was back in January and just looked at my usage, only 1.6gb, which works out at roughly at just under 300mb so I am happy with having a 500mb limit. In all honesty I can just hook up to the wi-fi if I want to watch youtube or iplayer or sky mobile tv.

looks like im gna be goin payasyougo with simplicity for 30 days, see what my internet usuage is like then decide if 12 months on simplicity is worth it, looks like in october for £5 a month more u can get added 500mb usuage or £10 for 1GB extra, 12 months at 15 a month plus octobers bolt on will give me 1gb for 20 quid a month blah, -waits on orange now.

3 mobile 1GB a fiver doesnt get cheaper than that

My own sources are hinting at 600 :/

Well let's hope that your "sources" are idiots.

Prices staying the same in the US but jumping that much in the UK would be ridiculous.

I'm still getting one whatever the cost but I'm hoping it's nearer 500. Certainly no more than 550 anyway.

Could you buy a simplicity tariff today where it still states unlimited data then transfer the tariff over to the new micro sim when you get it to avoid the 500MB limit?

Now that was a bit hard to follow.

Seems £15 / month Simplicity will be good - 300 mins, unlimited texts, and 500MB data.

500MB data should be OK for me as I have wifi at home and work. Sucks if you spend most of your time without wifi.

They seem to be giving the PAYG tariff the shaft - £15 will only get you 500 txts / 500 MB - ridiculous compared to the present PAYG tariff of £15 getting you unlimited texts / data.

Yes. When you plug your new phone into iTunes it will give the option to install a previous backup. A factory reset under iTunes will reset the phone ready for selling.

If you are staying with the same people they will probably port the number over for you. But if going to a different carrier as them for you PAC code which they are obliged to give you.

Thanks mate, yes I'm with O2 now and will stay with them, I've had no network problems and the pricing is pretty much the same as everyone else.

That's 32 GB, and from the history, it's ok.

Whilst I can't reveal them, because I'd potentially reveal things about things which O2 could then put a gagging order on  you get the point :/

If the 16GB is over £500 i'll be having 2nd thoughts. Just cannot justify spending over half a grand on a mobile phone :/

That's what I'm thinking. It's a lovely toy but fecks sake, at the end of the day it's still just a phone. hmmmm. Let's , Mr o2 could still surprise us!

i dont really care about the 02 tariff, im leaving them my contract ends in 4 days, i just hope orange dont do the same and offer unlimited data or atleast 1gb for the lower tariffs.

Could hint at the PAYG handset price will remain the same in that case (no more expensive surely) - I think the PAYG people will be frustrated enough as you say, without having to pay more for the handset, as well as stand for less minutes/data for their money...

i guess the adverage jow wouldnt know how to cut down the sim so go for the new simplicity only lol.... dunno if its worth splashin outo n the old simplicity before iphone 4 release..

I'm just thinking...

Because O2 have changed their terms and conditions, and that you are currently paying for a product which states it has unlimited data, and O2 has changed this for no reimbursement to the buyer, you could actually try and terminate your contract.

It states somewhere that if a company changes it's products description while you are in the middle of a contract, then you can terminate it for no charge.

Someone try and call up and try it out?
