When does everyone reckon the others (Voda, Orange, 3 & T-mobile) will release tariff details? I'm hoping later today or sometime soon (next day or 2)!

So glad we have competition though and choice! Despite from the looks of O2's tariffs that O2 ignore competition, that or price fixing!

Your guess is as good as mine but it would be nice to also know the price of the handset.

That's 32 GB, and from the history, it's ok.

Whilst I can't reveal them, because I'd potentially reveal things about things which O2 could then put a gagging order on  you get the point :/

Could you not just say what you're allowed to say and let us read between the lines? ;)

Hello :)
Well, im from Turkey but i'll be in London for 6 weeks starting from next week. And ofc, im psyched about new iPhone 4 :) But i have a question:
I want to get it with PAYG but im not sure whether i should need any more document to get iPhone since im not a UK resident. Could u inform me if you know anything about it? Thanks

Hmmm. 600 for a 32 seems about what I'd expect taking into consideration how appalling exchange rates are to this time last year.

If I keep my current Simplicity plan does that mean i will continue to get my unlimited data

Should do. Unless O2 notify you of a change. I'm hanging onto my Simplicity tariff now. If they do alter it, I'll be looking to leave O2.

I'm just thinking...

Because O2 have changed their terms and conditions, and that you are currently paying for a product which states it has unlimited data, and O2 has changed this for no reimbursement to the buyer, you could actually try and terminate your contract.

It states somewhere that if a company changes it's products description while you are in the middle of a contract, then you can terminate it for no charge.

Someone try and call up and try it out?

I think if you get a iPhone 4 you will be starting a new contract and i'm sure if you stay with the contract your on and not upgrade it will still be unlimited 3G until it expires.

The iPhone 4 is the fresh start the mobile phone companys have all been looking for to stop the unlimited 3G data and start to make money off it.

time to start twittering that we don't like the tariffs.
If you haven't got an account it's time to get one.

I agree, O2 cannot change the terms of an existing contract that is already up and running unless it is to the advantage of the other party. They can only change the terms of future contracts.

Reading the press release on the O2 site I am fairly certain that the new data tariffs only apply to new and upgrade customers, not existing customers.

Tweet'd
O2 your iPhone 4 tariffs stink, charging for mms and changing the data cap. I'll be asking for my PAC code anyway.

I'm actually more annoyed at the fact we get charged for an MMS than them charging for data. I'm pretty certain not many people use 500mb monthly (o2 say 97% don't use 500mb per month).

I have no issues with them charging us 4x sms for 1xmms but this new charge is ridiculous.

id check the terms and condictions of you're simplicity unlimited data if you are a old customer, maybe they have stated it wasnt going to last for ever ?

i know what you mean. I don't use much data but do send mms. I feel violated. I hope that other providers offer better deals as I'm out of contract with O2 and now plan to leave. They can stuff it.

Since selling my iphone I'm running an hTc hero. Might just keep that and port my number elsewhere.

OK, Just had a nice flirting conversation with a lady from O2 who for a change was actually helpful.

The 500mb cap is actually unlimited according to her. She said out of all the customers they have hardly anyone manages to go over the 500mb data.

She said what will happen is when you hit 500mb you will NOT be charged but they will call you/text you and speak to you about it. Basically see if you are tethering.

The extra £5 bolt-on is for users who want to tether and not have the hassle of the call every time the 500mb is reached.

She said all current customers with unlimited data are actually capped to 500mb but they don't reach that so no know difference.

She also asked me how much I was willing to pay for the iPhone so though it was some sales thing so they can get the prices so I said £400 when she was just actually curious haha.

Anyway bit more flirting but as soon as they find anything out it comes in the exact same email that we all get (If you have registered)

Hope this helps some people and hope it's true.

I'v e just rang them and they said that because i am on an unlimited web tarriff before the new iphone tarrif comes into affect i will still get this untill october 2010 then it will drop to the amount link to my monthly tarriff (750mb for me)

I stated that when i signed the 12month contract in march of this year i was signing up for 12moths of unlimited text and internet and that what they were doing was illegal.

They said my unlimited web use was subject to an excessive use policy and now they are just stating what the excessive use is.

If that the case then why give us to october at all if u feel its totally above board?!?
