Went to Bluewater today to see if I could get one. The activation desk at the Apple store was ominously empty so I didn't even need to ask if they had any left.

Checked in Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone there, both out of stock, and when I asked in Vodafone when they would be receiving more I was told 'August'.

On the off chance popped into my local Carphone Warehouse near Charlton and managed to pick up a 32GB. When my contract was being set up I asked how many left they had in. Apparently I had taken the very last one - someone had one reserved on preorder but had called earlier in the day to cancel and I got it.

They've offered me £150 for my 3G too which I think I'll take too.

O2 gave us £180 for 3G when upgrading. which is more than the recycle companies are doing at the moment, they are at the £150 mark now like CPW gave you.

Hang on a minute, where did 11 posts go?

Someone posted the 15,000th post last page and now it's like 14990.

I got £185 for mine on a private sale, so I agree that £150 is a poor price unless the handset is in poor condition. I'd sell up quick though as I can't see them staying at that price for long.

You'd get more than that. I'm on 1850 songs, 1.15GB of high res photos and 84 apps, with 3.85GB still left free.

We're into piece of string territory here.

I have apps that are 1.5MB and then there are Apps that are 1.5GB.

Likewise I have 20+ minute songs ripped at 320kbps VBR and songs that are only 128kbps and last 3 minutes.

Hey, can a non UK resident buy stuff from the Apple UK store ? :)

If not, then can they ship straight outside the UK but the buyer has a UK credit card and billing address ?

Those are the boxes for the iPhone 3G and 3Gs handsets. The boxes for the Apple iPhone 4 docks are white and about half the length of those boxes. Addtionally the picture of the dock on the front of the boxes shows that the dock accepts the curved form factor of the 3G and 3Gs - the iPhone 4 has a much 'squarer' form factor.

Apple's own iPhone 4 dock and box: http://www.ilounge.com/images/uploads/iphone-4-bumpers-dock.jpg

Are you sure the docks you bought are for iPhone 4?

Yeah I saw on Twitter and someone said they work fine! I'll post a pic later :)

Hey guys, sorry the price all together with VAT was £20.53

I got them from Amazon here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-Apple-iPhone-Power-Adapter/dp/B001CSMJHG

When looking closely at how the phone enters the dock it does sit on the actual glass, It doesn't/hasn't scratched it so far, but take it as a slight precaution.

I have not had any problems so far

Re: Visual Voicemail

Do you mean Vodafone are starting to provide Visual Voicemail properly or just with Hullomail?

I thought I'd read a Vodafone UK web page recently that said they were going to start offering native Visual Voicemail - but I can't find that now and can only assume I misread something, or I was reading Vodafone AU by mistake or something like that.

Sorry to have got peoples' hopes up.

Sorry if a bit dense but can I just clarify the above?

I've seen that offer from o2 on their website - you post it in and they take a look at it for condition then hopefully send you the money etc etc Same principle as the other recycle sites.

But are you saying they did this instore?

Same question for the poster who mentioned Carrphone Warehouse albeit at the lower £150 was this instore or by posting it off?

Regards
Mark

Ah yes, I thought they had also then realised it was Vodafone Australia. Thanks for the update.

Anyone have news on Tesco's 0800 24/7 engaged line? I tried earlier and got through, but didn't have the details on me at the time. Tried multiple times since and it's engaged :(

You're best bet is to call Apple or go into a store and ask. As I understand it they will only ship within the UK.

I think you have to have a UK Credit Card and ship to a UK address to use the Apple UK shop.

Get the proper adapters, I used the 3g in the dock without the proper adapter and it created small cracks in the casing as it wasn't properly supported.
