T-Mobile?

Does anyone know anything about the iPhone on T-Mobile (UK) yet?

I rang them last week to get my PAC but let the Retentions guy talk me into stay for another week or two as he promised I'd get a better deal than any other network could offer - but he couldn't say when any details would be released. Surely if they were going to release the iPhone in the next two weeks some form of leak?

When I requested my PAC code the woman I spoke to asked why I was leaving and I explained that I was switching to Tesco Mobile to get the iPhone; she asked what they were offering and after I explained to her (£35p/m tariff) she said that she wouldn't be able to beat it.

Does anyone have an idea of when the next lot of Vodafone iPhones are going to arrive? I ordered mine yesterday, the credit check is complete and all. I'm just wondering as i could really do with one before the 17th July.:)

I have 1 of each on voda for sale, get in touch. If you can wait until Friday they will be unlocked. :):)

I said exactly the same thing as that was the tariff I was tempted by. Have/had you been with them long? I've been with them for about 10 years which the guy implied would make a difference (still don't believe that though!)

Just ordered a 16gb from Orange for delivery on Thu and cancelled my Vodafone order.

I ordered from orange on weds nyt/thurs morning and was promised next day delivery.......never came.......was promised monday.........never came.......now they tell me sometime this week.........

Now that I have my iPhone 4, I obviously want to have a play with it. However, the number does not port to Vodafone from O2 until Thursday.
Does anyone know, it I set the iPhone 4 up can I use it and register it with iTunes without affecting my current iPhone 3G?

A little info if it helps anyone.

Just tried calling o2 (my current provider) to see if they could match the tesco 24 month £45 tariff. Was told they are not able to change any of the current iphone tariffs as they are for existing and not new customers.
Got the very clear impression that when o2 start selling to new customers the tariffs will be better value!

Also asked about ip4 stock and was asked for my account details before he could answer the question, said I could order but would take 3-5 days for delivery meaning they did not have stock.
Got the feeling they are holding back stock for customers on higher tariffs on the logic that they would continue on a higher tariff I guess.
However I was told that most of the ip4 stock was shipping direct to the o2 stores.

I switched from O2 to Vodafone(contract) and just found out that at my home I get 1, maybe 2 bars, with O2 I was full reception, what a letdown. :(

However when I was out I had 4 or 5 bars. Hope I will find myself confortable with it.

(area: London near Canary Wharf)
(no antenna issues that I know for now, no spots and no proximity issues too).

Maybe the Vodafone Sure Signal would help you:

Just called my local Orange store, in Worcester, and was told that I can put £60 down to reserve a phone, which should be in store Friday or Saturday.

It also seems as if a few o2 stores in the west midlands are getting stock in now.

I've been told that by my local orange stores as well :)
Going to go in tommorow and put the £60 down!

Yellow discolouration - replace?

I was one of the lucky ones to have got the new iPhone 16GB last Thursday from O2..

However I do have quite a large line of yellow dots on the bottom of the screen. But has anyone taken the phone back to either O2 or Apple to be replaced for a new one?

I might go down that route but I know that iPhone 4 stock levels are pretty low at the moment. What do you guys reckon I should do?

Seems like o2 have got a whole load of new stock in today. Picked up a 32gb from Oxford Street this afternoon and the stock checker is showing a load more stores with iphones in.

Yep, O2 stores in Edinburgh are showing as having phones in stock. I'm waiting for Tesco to get some...

Yeah, a few stores have got stock. The nearest one to me with stock is about a 40 minute drive. They said they had 30 of each size, but I can't get there so it's eating away at me now.

It's going to be hard getting one with being at work all the damn time.

I'd take it with a pinch of salt. My friend and I went to the Orange shop on Thursday where we were told the same. My friend then ordered one being told it'd arrive on Saturday - but it didn't. As of yet he still doesn't have it. If you like Orange then thats all good but if you're just doing what my friend is doing (willing to change networks just to get the phone) I'd be careful. Plus we were told that the phone is locked.

30?!! Of each?! Whereabouts do you live? I'm in the South West and it seems there are no stock updates for O2 in this region today. :(

Not entirely sure what you mean but I'm with o2 at the moment and am transferring my number to Vodafone. I have a microsim in my new iPhone but it's not activated with Vodafone yet. I can do everything on my new iPhone over wifi, just can't make calls, or access the internet via a cellular connection. I'm still using my old 3G and its old sim to make calls as usual.

My number is transferring tomorrow and CPW have told me to turn my new iPhone off tonight. Tomorrow at some point I'll notice my 3G's cellular connection has stopped and this means I can turn my new iPhone 4 back on and the number will have transferred.

Apparently the number can't transfer if I leave my iPhone 4 on the day of activation. Not sure how correct this info is but it's not a big deal for me so am going to do it anyway.

Does anyone know if Apple stores hold stock specifically for replacements during the first couple weeks? I need to get mine switched because of the yellow screen band (which is NOT disappearing despite reports saying it should), but I don't want to waste my time at a genius bar if they don't have either refurbs or new iPhones.

Thanks, that's what I meant. I am now using my iPhone 4 as a glorified iTouch. I will make sure that I turn my iPhone 4 off the night before the transfer (wasn't told to do that) and will wait until the 3G goes dead before turning the 4 on.

Ask for a replacement at the Apple Store. You need to make a Genius Bar appointment.
