I said exactly the same thing as that was the tariff I was tempted by. Have/had you been with them long? I've been with them for about 10 years which the guy implied would make a difference (still don't believe that though!)
Does anyone know if Apple stores hold stock specifically for replacements during the first couple weeks? I need to get mine switched because of the yellow screen band (which is NOT disappearing despite reports saying it should), but I don't want to waste my time at a genius bar if they don't have either refurbs or new iPhones.
Does anyone know if there is any stock at Regent Street? After a 32gb black but been away since launch day and only just got back.
Been with them for just over 18 months. Come to think of it, I did make clear that the main reason that I wanted to transfer to Tesco Mobile was because I wanted to be on a 12 month contract so I can upgrade to the 5th gen as soon as it comes out without having to worry about buying out 6 months of my contract. Maybe when she said that they couldn't beat Tesco she meant that T-Mobile wouldn't be offering 12 month contracts.
Anyhoo, now that T-Mobile and Orange have merged it wouldn't surprise if their iPhone plans/prices are very similar if not identical.
Have the same issue as you twoism. The nearest Apple store is an hour away from me so I don't want to go all the way there for them to say they won't replace it!
How long have you had your new iPhone for? I've had mine since Thursday and the yellow dots have remained the same.
I can confirm that the Apple store does hold replacement stock as I changed mine out on Saturday due to a yellow line all the way across the bottom of the screen. It came out of a black plastic box but was brand new.
Thanks for the info. Which Apple store was this?
This was the worthing store in sussex. It's killing me that i can't get there.
I'm in worthing, what store are you going on about ;S
has anyone purchased an iPhone 4 from apple with o2 simplicity been able to insure the phone?
after being messed around by customer services they have turned round and said i cant be insured as i didnt buy it from them.![]()
That's what I'm thinking but given the lack of stock everywhere it won't be too big a deal to wait another week or two - but the complete silence from T-Mobile is annoying to say the least. I can understand that they don't have stock to sell but surely by now they know what their tariffs will be?!

Have they merged yet? I thought the trade regulators still needed to approve the deal?
