The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

Regent Street are out again today, they reckon it will be next week before any new deliveries arrive and over 1000 peeps on priority list.

O2 Oxford Street sold out again today by 1pm. They have no idea when more coming.

Well sold two of my spare ip4's today to a fellow macrumours member today, at cost price, he's happy and so am I. 1 more left. :):)
 
I got my hands on a new iPhone today from the 3 store. I just walked in and asked for it and I'm now on a £30 per month plan and my iPhone is syncing.

Of course, it was a new iPhone 3GS :p. Their offer is pretty good - £29 for the 32GB phone and £30 a month for 24 months. If anyone is just looking for an iPhone (and not iPhone 4) this is a great deal. I was served very quickly and my phone is getting a full signal with 3G where I am right now - my old iPhone 3G on O2 could only manage one or two bars and basic GPRS.

Quite frankly, I'm unimpressed.
 
Why do retards work in phone stores??

Went into Orange shop and asked the 'expert', "hi, just got the iPhone 4 and was wondering how much a micro sim deal would cost?"

"Sorry, we don't have any of those in stock at the moment"

At this point I thought, **** it I'll just get a new 3G pay as you go normal SIM and cut it down. So I ask, "How can I get just get a 3G pay as you go microSIM? (said micro by accident).

She comes back with "Sorry we don't have any SD cards in stock at the moment."

So I just had to accept her stupidity and walk out saying, "Alright, cheers."

Probably a silly question :) But does anyone have an idea of the stock levels if any at the Liverpool Apple Store?

I'm on the £40 tarriff for 18months. Might be getting 30% off my bill though so could be good!!
You're right though, it's a mighty sexy phone. I love it!

In a few hours time, it'll be the first. But not jokingly, everyone around me, who have ordered on the 16th, even people ordering after mem have had their order prepared for shipment, or shipped.

I have also ordered on the 16th and it still says "Not yet shipped". So you are not alone. ;-)
 
Any users on here think the iP4 call quality is dog pooh???

Just has a 20 min conversation and the other end was muffled to hell (usually perfect on my K800i Sony). Im on O2 but the call quality and signal has always been spot on the Sony.

With regards to everyone waiting dont get your hopes up too much as Im now seriously considering sending the phone back. The reception drop out is ridiculous. Shame as it was my first iphone.

Maybe there are a few different batch loads going out, maybe we ordered later in the day than these guys that have had there's prepared for shipment.

I think Apple quotes "ships BY 2nd of July" this must be the latest it will get shipped, let hope so anyway;):apple:

P.S. My iPad was shipped earlier than the "ship BT" date.
 
There seems to have been a shortage of iPhone 4 docks in Apple stores for the past week. Found some today at the White City one in London Westfields Shopping centre incase anyone was wondering.

There has to be some irregularities, orders aren't necessarily being done in order per time ordered, or order number.
