Arrived! (DPD)

wow! It got here!

Apparently DPD have the patent for a couple of years on giving people a one hour time slot within which they will deliver your item! .. They sent me a text before 9am with the time on it and they delivered the phone 15 mins into the alloted hour .. very impressed!

Anyways, the phone? .. It looks beautiful! .. now to sync it up and to contact Orange to ask for number porting .. *phewie* what a ride! lol

I was getting a bit peeved that my local stores have had no stock since last week and the fact I never heard anyting from the o2 stock checker so I decided to call upgrades this morning, success I ordered an 16gb iphone 4, really smooth upgrade done and dusted in 5 minutes, the phone is now waiting uplift from DHL and should be here Friday 2 July :D

oh I called 2302 from my mobile.

Well I'm still absolutely clueless on how I can get one of these phones :(

I live in south Lincolnshire and work in Spalding... nearest O2 store is about 30-40 mins away (Boston, Peterborough, Stamford) and the local Carphone Warehouse has apparently still not had any stock at all. Nearest Apple Store is about 90 mins away (MK or Cambridge).

Without being able to order on the phone, or pre-order anywhere, anyone got an idea of how to get one?

I have to stay with O2 unfortunately, no signal at home with Vodafone/Orange :(

For all of you trying to get one on Orange network

I just rang Orange for a friend who is desperatly trying to get hold of one! Orange are taking phone orders at the moment and will deliver by next tuesday at the latest according to the rep. She said this is the quickest way to get one for now as the shops will not have stock until all the phone orders were dealt with.

Hope this is some useful info for those who are trying to get hold of this beautiful baby!!

are there any Iphone 4 availible in Apple Stores in london? to buy over-the-counter (in store)? or ar they all out? anyone know how often they seems to get new ones in? or is the only possible way to get one to order from online apple store and wait for the 3week shipment?

:O within the space of half an hour??! I must have just caught them!!

CPW are still advertising delivery dates of next week and are taking pre orders for these - it says to ring them on 0870 087 0870 to place preorder.

Ok......this is the number for apple store 0800 048 0408 you could try giving them a call and seeing if you can pre-order with them. or this link should help you check stock in your local o2 shop http://stock.o2.co.uk/

Thanks Chachatwist, just phoned and although being initially told that "We dont have any in stock" once they'd taken my details, apparently I'm a 'valued customer' so was able to get one for delivery in 1-2 working days.

RESULT!

Give o2 customer services a call and ask to upgrade assuming you are eligible. I did earlier today, they have stock in and I should received it tomorrow.

I got that response yesterday, just keep trying I think it all depends on who answers your call, my rep had just started for the day and was still in a good mood :)

They are advertising online as having iphones 'in stock' and they simply do not.

I placed an order online last Friday for the 16gb as it was listed as 'in stock' it also said i could have it the next day and i paid for that, 6 days later and it is still not here.

Surely they can't sell phones to people that they say they have in stock when they actually don't?!

Really pissed off as my local o2 store has had stock in store since i placed my order with Orange

Uh oh!!!! Could be the same situation on the phone orders aswell!! Hmmm jut glad I got mine in launch day! Seems to be getting a bit messy now!

Same here.. i placed my order last thursday morning for a 32gb and got a confirmation email for next day delivery. It still hasnt arrived.
Made numerous calls to CS and they just keep saying, your in the queue.

Have you looked at your online order tracking?, what does yours say.
Since last thursday mine has said 'Being Readied for dispatch'.

6 days later and its still being readied!!!!!!!.

'Order Being Readied For Dispatch'

Apparently it takes Orange 144 hours + to take a box off a shelf... or maybe they lied to their customers to get orders in.

Hopefully this will hit mainsteam media soon, there are a LOT of people in the same position.
 
Anyone got any idea how it looks at other apple stores in London. Like White City?

I was thinking there might be a much harder pressure for phones at regent street.
